I sometimes see Christian ads in threads about evolution, religion or what have you. Tangentially, I think AdSense allows sites to block certain ads, though I don’t think I’ve had a problem with any ad. The social network thingy is probably because of the unsophisticated mechanism that chooses the ads.
For me right now, I got free government money. usually it’s ads for the crappy mmos or local sexy singles. I’ve also noticed that on myspace and other social networking sites, the ads are usually tailored to your interests, likes, social status, what not. My ad also changed to tabletop RPGs before editing this post

The adds on a doom metal focussed message board I was on were priceless. I haven’t gotten any weird ones here for a while.
I believe the ads I have are for headphones, football dvds and insurance. Rather dull really. No pretty pictures in them.
I have adblock plus, but upon disabling it, I keep getting ads for German anime fantasy browser games oO a mix between travian and RO, or at least that’s what it looks like. just as scary. -shudders.-
Somehow the ads I’m getting in this thread are for the on-line dating service Mate1. It’s like it knows how impotent I am with the ladies. :eek:
Currently, some MMORPG ad pops up in this thread. For some odd reason, a Christian Network ad pops up in the main page. Considering most people here are either atheist or agnostic.
