I like APC. I’ve wanted to check out the new (current) album. How does it compare with the first one.

Why does everyone compare Tool and APC? I’ve heard some of Tool… Frankly, they’re pretty terrible… It’s like they tried to do what APC does, only… they failed…
Umm… except Tool was before APC. Maynard James Keenan, the lead singer of APC, was originally from the band Tool (and I forget his name, but the writer of APC’s songs and guitarist also comes from Tool). To be honest with you, I wouldn’t consider them similar bands, but if you liked the vocals for APC, chances are you’d like the vocals for Tool. That’s all I was really saying. 
For the record, I enjoy Tool slightly more than APC (one of my favorite songs of all time is “Eulogy,” actually).
Maynard James Keenan is an overrated hack. Quite frankly, when he was in Tool, the hard edge he gave to his songs was usually not good, and in APC, where he REMOVED that hard edge and went to a different style of music, he managed to stay on the same level of overrated.
