You’re right. Mazinger had a simplistic storyline with characters you could identify with, were somewhat endearing and was barely milked to it’s full extent (Great Mazinger, MazinKaiser, Mazinger Z versus DevilMan…some appearances in Grandizer, but that’s mostly 'cause Grandizer sucked).
Gundam was milked way too damn much, had barely interesting storylines and just a sense of cluttering all through most of the series. (Gundam Victory, Seed, Wing, SD, 0086, 0079 and a whole slew of others I’m forgetting)
Basically, Goh Nagai = Good. Gundam = teh suck.

i liked flcl…mostly cuz they beat people with guitars…which has always beed every teenage losers fantasy…oh and having a girl sleep on the bed above you…
I admit, I’ve never seen FLCL, could someone tell me about it? People on this are saying it’s overrated, but is it bad? Or do people just say it’s better then it is?
well i know alot of people who say its really really good, and alot of people who say its really really bad…but i think its good, but not as good people say but its alot better than people who hate it say… so basically its good way to waste 3 hours…cuz its only 6 eps long
