Northeasternmost Grave in the cemetary next to the sanctuary, need the magic Mirror or second set of power gloves. I think you might need to dash attack the grave to move it…

And by the way, it drains magic as long as it’s being used, so you should drop down the hole next to the house of the dwarven blachsmiths (the ones near Kakariko, who tempered the Master Sword, changing it from level 2 to 3). Drop down that hole and you’ll find an altar. Spray some magic powder on it and a small demon will appear and cut your magic costs by half.

I can only thing of one time ever, manus, that would ever require using the Cape for an extended period of time:

Getting the staff of Byrna.

That, and you need it to get a heart piece…

But you didn’t need to wear it for very long, less than a second, really.

Does the Cape even work for crossing spiked floors? Because I recall having to go into the cave with the Staff of Bryna with a full life meter.

Yup. That it does.

It does, but Byrna cave is long enough that you might run out of Magic Power before you make it all the way through.

Which is why you should bring a Green Potion with you.

Still, it makes things easier, specially in the fight against Ganon, when you have to light the four pedestals to illuminate the room and stun him. Imagine running out of magic at a time like that… It would be rather annoying.

I know, the point is, he shouldn’t get the magic doubler just for the cape.

I just mentioned it because to get the Cane of Byrna, he’ll have to walk over a long spike-filled path, and if he can use the cape longer, he’ll have better chances of going through.

Pah, if you’re good you can walk across all those spikes without any aid from the cape.

IF your life meter is big enough.

If you have picked up all available heart containers and heart pieces by the time that you can enter the cave in which the Cane of Byrna is hidden, you should have more than enough health to survive. And once you get the cane, you just use it and sprint back over the spiky floor with the pegasus boots.

Magic Cape aside, you SHOULD get the mgaic doubler ASAP.

It does, but Byrna cave is long enough that you might run out of Magic Power before you make it all the way through.

This is one thing they’ve fixed in the GBA version. Whenever you get a magical item, your magic meter fills up. So when you get the Cane of Byrna using the Magic Cape, your magic meter will fill up.

If you’re playing the SNES version, then yes, bring a Green Potion with you and use the 1/2 Magic trick by the Blacksmith’s house.
