Your room.

My room rocks. I have my omputer, my unltra big desk, my stereo, my TV and VHS player, my PS2, my bass guitar, my geckos, and my bed all snuggled into one messy room.

The only noticeable features in my room’s shelves, and twenty-eight year old tv, a hardly visble desk and my bed. Oh and I got a closet full of junk.

if one were to open my closet, they would be in a cartoon situation in which they would be instantly buried in various things.

i seem to cram everything in there. i don’t know why.

I’m a picture freak, so now that I finally have new batteries, I’ll snap some! Woo! Still have to wait for them to get charged, though. Blah.

Edit: Okie! Here’s my room:

I really don’t make my bed all that often, but this more or less wualifies as showing guests around, so…

And the other half! With my dearly beloved laptop! Note all the dragons and mapies. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

And THIS is the best thing of them all! It’s called a “kronstång”. Way back in the Viking age, if you passed underneath one of those withour the owner of the house’s permission, he had the right to kill you. Mwaha! cough >_> I got it for Christmas in… '96.

Weiila said she didn’t mind showing off her mess, so I just went ahead and snapped some pictures… See all the angels? There’s a large… display thing, I’m too lazy to look it up. Like a cupboard or closet with glass doors. Anyway, it’s full of 'em, too.

… yeah, that’s the Pink Panther on my blanket, even if you only see his hand ^^;;

Nice futon, FRENCHY!

What’s a futon?

It’s the red chair in Weilla’s room.

Nice rooms both of you.

Aah… That’s French?

My room actually used to be two rooms until we knocked down the wall between them. That kronstång is hanging where the wall was.

My room is cute, its kinda a mess, though. I like it, its very bright.

a beautifully carved chess set depicting the Battle of Clontarf (1011 C.E.; fought between the Irish and the Vikings),

Awesome. I’d inquire about how to procure such a thing, but there’s no space for such a thing in my room.

As I will attempt to illustrate with words now (lacking a functional camera at the moment).

Walls and ceiling are white (at least, that’s how they were painted once upon a time).

There’s a bookcase on the east wall, with three large tiers. The upper tier hosts my extensive NES collection, a set of multi-sided dice which would be great for playing table top RPGs if I knew anybody who was into those sort of things. It also boasts a shotglass with the Montreal Expos logo on it. second tier hosts SNES, N64, and old-school Game Boy games and supplies. Lower tier hosts an unorganized pile of paper, a developed roll of photos from a summer trip two years back, and a bunch of VHS videotapes. Below this on the case is a cabinet hosting, among other things, my archaic Magic: The Gathering card collection. Then there’s my desk with no working tabletop space, as it is covered with 5 years worth of college textbooks, unorganized mounds of paper, and my Brady Games strategy guide collection.

South Wall hosts my 5 drawer dresser, of which only 2 actually have clothes in them (yearbooks, game systems [specifically the Sega Genesis), and crap like that populate the other three). Atop this dresser is my TV and, on top of that, a VCR. Then there’s a tiny bookcase that features a Sega Genesis Sonic The Hedgehog 3 instruction manual as it’s only actual book; the rest of the space goes to VHS tapes and a wah pedal that hasn’t worked in years.

West Wall: An amp I barely use for an electric guitar I barely use in the corner. very long, stout bookcase featuring some actual books, including more yearbooks, a lot of VHS tapes, and assorted shoeboxes of crap. The NES and N64 reside here too. Above this is my window (which in turn has a shelf for stuffed animals I collected as a kid [grandparents!] above it), atop this bookcase on the right half are my towers of CDs, and in front of this case is a large box (the TV came in it) that bears a long-unorganized pile of papers with my poems and story ideas and one-liners and drawings all over them inside it, and my active video game supplies atop the box. (i.e. my PS2 and whatever system I feel the urge for at the moment, like the SNES). Scattered on the floor are time capsule like boxes and crates of papers from my early school years and a couple of baseball card complete set collections from the mid 80’s (contained in baseball shaped containers). These serve to all but cut off access to my closet, which hosts ANOTHER box of unorganized papers and art supply stuff (this is the latter high school years archive), some close I never use including my high school graduation robe, and yet ANOTHER trove of VHS tapes.

The eye of this hurricane is my bed, which touches the north wall but extends almost to the south wall, leaving just enough room for me to get my dresser drawers open.

I’ve colonized territory outside my room; there’s a bookcase in the adjacent hallway that boasts EVEN MORE VHS tapes (I gotta unload some of these things).

And that’s my room. Pictures to come someday, perhaps.

I guess I gotta throw my hand in at this, too. I went ahead and took some pictures of the rest of my room, and uploaded them here.

Edit: Didn’t think of it at the time, but my friend GinMan (who also posts here every once in a while) emailed me this morning and he had also taken some pics of his room and posted them here. It’s kinda ironic, since he hadn’t seen this thread.
