EDIT: Oh, wait- I DID mention that here. =p

No. 1200 isn’t impressive. But for someone who is obviously as much of a slack off as Bush (who has taken more vacations than any other president, and has the second longest single vacation since Nixon), I think that it isn’t bad.

Psst…you’re not helping defending Bush as President. Besides, do you want a President who did well in school and worked hard, or someone who slacked off and just did average?

horray for GBA!

I thought Golden Sun was kinda boring, but that’s neither here nor there… If the Mother/Mother 2 compilation comes out in the US, that’s gonna be the greatest thing on the GBA. And even though I just bashed PA a couple minutes ago, when their E3 2003 comic (Gabe’s I think… how ironic), I knew N-Gage was gonna be shit, and being GBA’s only competition, there’s really no contest.

Why is 1200 not good on the SATs?

I got a 1020 on the PSATs, and I’m pretty damn impressed with myself.

I would say that 1200 for the President isn’t good, but I think that for the most part 1200 is pretty good.

I wouldn’t judge someone on their SAT but more on their GPA in a competitive establisment. A than 2._ is laughably shitty.

It’s not bad at all, it’s just not such an impressive score that one would bring it up to counter someone accusing Bush of being stupid. SATs in general aren’t even a good measure of intelligence so it would take a very very high score to impress anyone as far as that subject is concerned.

You really think so? I thought it was really good. shrugs Oh well…

Uh, I thought we weren’t supposed to turn this into a president bashing thread. But personally, I think Bush is doing okay. Being president isn’t that easy. Still, I’m not sure if he’s the best candidate for the presidency this year… not that it matters too much to me, since I can’t even vote yet.

They have the only product on the market, who did you think would outsell them?

=P

Wait… how the hell did bush end up in this fuckin’ thing? XD

Yeah, golden sun was okay. Albeit, it was inventive, I just couldn’t play it for much longer than an hour before I got bored with it.

I love how we’re currently holding two completely unrelated conversations in this thread at the same time.:stuck_out_tongue:

You didn’t like Golden Sun either? sigh I’m all alone now…

The people who actually get into Yale fairly do well. I know people who go there, and they say it isn’t nearly as hard as people make it out to be.
the magical words “grade inflation” come to mind.

But otherwise, wow, I had no idea that the GBA was that ridiculously popular. Especially since the cost of a GBA SP is the same as a Gamecube. I might be able to get close to 70-100 then when I sell my hardly-used GBA this summer with some Mario game.

You didn’t know that? I play my GBA all the time.

BTW, which Mario game are you talking about?

Yeah, I never ever see anyone ever playing a GBA outside of the people saying so in this site. I think I’ve seen like one person playing it on the subway ever.

It was the Super Mario World remake. I played through it once, but that was about the extent of the wear on the handheld or the game.

I have that game. Must have played through it at least over fifty times by now… at one point I was beating the game every day in less than three hours. And not just beating Bowser, but unlocking everything.

I would recommend that you get an SP. You’ll never have to buy batteries for your handheld ever again. And that built in light really helps too.

yeah but, you see, I never play my GameBoy. So I don’t think buying a fancier one would change that fact all that much.

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> I rather like the GBA for it’s library of strategic RPGs. It has a fair amount of them (TO:KoL, FFTA, Fire Emblem, several others), most of them have plenty of gameplay in them, and most of them also allow you to resume a battle from the point where you quit, which is very handy when you just play during lunch breaks or on the bus or whatever.

Of course, the PSX and PS2 have tons more strategic RPGs, but they aren’t portable without a lot of hasstle.

Nah I thought Golden Sun was actually very well done, although something seemed missing. And it ended at the middle of the flippin game. Bah. Never played 2…

I also like Golden Sun, except for the fact that it lacked some depth. You could make up a storyline like that one in 3 hours, and there were no sidequests either that were worth mentioning (crossbone isle? pfff, I say). It was also way too easy. I beat almost every boss at the first try (or every? I dont remember) and the puzzles were laughable. That game had a lifespan of a week or less.
