Again to stay on topic: I got in trouble once in school for giving the sun some orange rays around it, instead of it all being yellow. They gave me an F. I still don’t get why the sun can’t have orange in it.

Now, as I was saying to 984 before the other thread was so RUDELY closed:

I don’t know about your theory 984. I was a pretty obedient colorer. I didn’t always use the right color for the job, but that’s because I didn’t always have it. I did sometimes go outside the lines, but never on purpose; without the lines, coloring would be pointless, I thought. And so I stayed within them.

Maybe I still follow the lines, though. Maybe it’s just a different set of lines. A different picture, if you will.

What sort of Canadian omits the u from colour.

Man I love colouring things. I did a large drawing for my band’s album artwork and coloured it in photoshop. Photoshop is pretty good for that. In terms of colouring books, I liked them when I was younger. I tried to stay in the lines but I never managed to keep all the colours in check. Maybe I should pick a couple up and see what my art skills can do now!

Anyway, on the topic. I never really liked coloring much as I always went over the lines and the dissaproving looks of my teacher crushed my happyness no matter how nice I thought the drawing seemed. I wish I had been a free spirit like the rest of you.

Oh and I was also too shy to ask for other kid’s crayons when I was short a certain color, so I often substituted stuff around.
