I can’t remember how far you said you were, but the best way to advance when you’ve hit a wall is to switch characters. Every time it seemed like I had the hang of a class but wasn’t getting everywhere I switched characters and advanced by leaps and bounds.

Level 6 down, Level 7 Mage, that’s how far I am.

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> gah, I can’t find the nethack version with the really neat GUI I played a while ago.

What about it? The only Nethack version I knoe with a GUI is either the Windows version or Falcons’s Eye

Congats on your win CH, I’m not sure exactly how hard it is but I guess I’ll find in when I get around to installing and playing it.

You must be the man or something. That game is damn hard.

You idiot: Now you have caused the fabric of spacetime to rift. We’re all doomed, and your demi-godhood can’t help.

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> some semi-3d version. And what’s this Falcon’s Eye?

Falcon’s eye’s a Nethack with a GUI, which is probably what you’re thinking of, dork :stuck_out_tongue:

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> Ah yes, that’s what I meant. Is it any different from the standard Nethack, besides the GUI?

As far as I know, no. It’s just Nethack prettied up, but it might be missing something (how much can you miss on a simple dungeon crawler?) since it’s based on 3.4.0 instead of 3.4.1 :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s still got all the key commands but it’s not more user friendly and has a menu and mouse usage.
