According to http://www.n-philes.com/ , there’s a new Final Fantasy title on the way for the Gamecube!

News: Another Nintendo Fantasy Come True?

There are now rumors that Square-Enix is making a new Final Fantasy game for GameCube that takes elements from FFVII, VIII, and IX on the PSX. It sounds like wishful thinking from people that were disappointed with FF:CC, but it has been reported by the Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK. It will be shown at E3 if true.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but this tidbit has me hyped as Hell!

Hmm… this could be good news indeed. :hahaha; FF:CC was good, but not great, so a new, traditional FF, on the Nintendo machine, could potentially be totally awesome. :hahaha; Note to Square Enix- do NOT cock this one up.

No! I can’t afford to get another system. Noooo! And I still have to borrow FF9 from my cousin over the summer so I can play it beyond 5 hours in.

I am starting to now hate Square-enix for going to Nintendo systems as i kinda dont like haveing to go out and get another console, why cant they just make it for all consoles???

Too fucking bad. For 6 fucking years I couldn’t afford another console and I got an N64 as a gift. So I was glad to have what I had, even if I didn’t get any finaly fucking fantasy games. At least the PS2 is getting FF games as well as the GCN. I didn’t play a single FF for 6 fucking years all because I’m poor and couldn’t afford a PSX. Hell, I couldn’t afford games.

I guess I’m one of the lucky few to have a PS2 and a GGN. I also heard rumors about this. There’s speculation going talking about more remakes of past games. FFIII finally come to America anyone?

There was an “unofficial” rumor a year or two back saying that PS2 was going to remake FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX. Then, sometime after, it was denied. The project was scrapped. Then, a couple months ago, it was officially stated that the remakes were coming. WTF is going on? I just hope Advent Children hits USA…but remakes…omg…FFVII…

And I was looking forward to the FFVIII remake on PS2…
I heard FFVII: AC is only coming out in DVD format… Dunno if it was true.

Yes, FF7AC is only on DVD. It’s a movie, not a game.
All the remake rumors are currently just rumors. There are no official plans to remake FF3, or FF7-9.

Oh, I meant that FFVII:AC might only be in DVD format, and won’t be shown in the theatres.
