Witch Hunter Robin on CN!

Yeah, I don’t see any harm in watching Witch Hunter Robin. Reading gross fanfics (that I didn’t know were gross and/or having sex in it, i.e. lemons) have harmed me more than anything on TV.

I dont see why you would be desensitized by WHR. There’s no blood and hardly any cringe worthy scenes. A few disturbing ones, but its no fucking Ninja Scroll.

Lemons are sneaky, I’m surprised you didn’t come across anything saying that there might be sex in the fan fic or that it was nc-17 or r rated.

Well, thing is, I didn’t used to know what a “lemon” meant…

oh right, i guess i didn’t either once and well wasn’t really bothered by it <<…>>

I guess people on CN forums were bitching about how much WHR sucks mainl;y because it kicked Lupin III out of its time slot
Oh god, I’m gonna cry again. WHR is infinity times better than Lupin fucking III >>;

Lemons are a lot difficult than your usual NC-17 hardcore sex fic. Lemons are usually sweet and tenderly written, with vague hints of what’s going on. It’s more erotica, than “fucking” and it’s not dirty to read at all. Lemons are written with taste and romance, and are not as straight forward as “fucking” fics are. I could post numerous examples but I’m not sure if everyone is comfortable with stuff like that.

Some of the “lemons” I read weren’t like that at all… I’ve been scarred for life… but you’re right, they’re not all like that. I still don’t like to read “lemons” though… I’d like to keep my virgin mind as innocent as possible for as long as I can thank you. Thank goodness ff.net doesn’t allow “lemons” anymore.

Lemons? I haven’t heard of it.

it’s another term for a hetai/echii/porn story about almost anything kairi.

From what I hear, they took out the opening theme song.

Now that completely sucks because:

1)Shell, the song, is quite cool.

2)The opening scenes just rock visually

3)This is the only way to know from the beginning how enthralled with Amon, that Robin is! She’s watching him on a television and she’s all over the television trying to get to him, and yeah…she’s like spying on him and looking sad, and well it really gives out the feeling that she’s obsessed with him.

The opening was an important part of the show…and they just left it out. Bastards.
What the fuck? How could I have missed you saying this? That fucking pisses me off ><;;;

How could they DO that? Guh >< Why do they think they can just add and subtract whatever they want from a show? It’s fucking annoying >< It doesn’t do the animators, the composers, the singers, the voice actors, ANYONE any justice. And they probably added some shitty English punk song in it’s place with a whiney singer…

Fucking hold me Eva ;_; Shell was the best song ever…

They do it to all their shows- they come up with their own version of the intros, scrapping the normal theme song and replacing it with what they want. Another reason why I NEVER watch anime on CN :smiley:

There isn’t any sort of opening song. What little they do have for an opening is this - a voice (it sounds like Robin’s) says something about how it’s been three hundred years since the coven sank into darkness, and then she says some stuff that sort of ties into the episode at hand. The ending credits are accompanied by some sort of dreamy-sounding music, and there’s a pendant spinning on the side of the screen (I think that’s Robin’s too).

Kagon (by the way, you are so cool!!!11oneoneone), I’ve noticed that. However, I think they finally used the original opening for The Big O, which is sort of freaky looking (the opening, not the show)… but I could be wrong.

Yeah, that actually is with each episode I do believe, and I think they might have left the ending intact. I’d have to see another episode.

Vicki (You are the greatest!), that’s a step in the right direction then. I dunno, I just don’t like a lot of what they do with the anime they show. The dubbing in Witch Hunter Robin made me upset too since they went in a different direction than they did in the original Japanese. I haven’t seen Big O yet- I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews really. What did you think of it?

yeah that was originally the preview for the next ep shown after the ending credits.

I’ve downloaded a bunch of eps recently. Gonna find a space in my hectic life to sit down and watch them, see if they’re as good as everyone says they are. :3

Back on the subject of voice acting:

The thing that annoys me the most is when companies reuse voice actors over and over again, even in the same anime. I swear, I could count on one hand the number of different VA’s in the Pokemon dub.

And the casting of Tai’s voice as Zero Enna from Candidate for Goddess has scarred me for life.

Endless Waltz’s VA for Duo made me an angry person.

And the new Akira dub is the best ever. Ever. It’s just perfect.
