Winter rituals

So, winter’s almost here. Here, it snowed a few flakes down and already everyone is changing tires. I hate scraping ice off the car, and it doesn’t even snow, hellishly (but still, pleasantly) cold. Dang old people slow their already slow driving speeds to RIDICULOUSLY LOW speeds… (For example, today I had a case of 40kmph on a 60kmph road…) And the slippery surfaces. Dang, I love slipping and falling down on the ground.

What does winter mean to you?

Winter is one damn sexy season. The snow. The darkness. The snow. The short period of light. The SNOW that reflects pale moonlight  The decoration lights and candles also please me. And the snowmen and the snowangels and the snowcatgirls and the snowcastles and the sledding and the skiing and…

Sure, you might need to get out the thick clothing, but hey, the cold weather’s the reason why you move around a bit to get blood circulating. And one of the best things to do after shoveling snow: Hot chocolate… :D~~~~~

HURRY, SNOW ALREADY!

I have this hill in my backyard that we sled down. We don’t have a sled so we use a piece of cardboard. It worked really well. That was also the day I broke my leg, but it was not while sledding on the cardboard. I was walking down a steep little hill and I slipped, my leg turned awkwardly and I landed on it.

I sacrifice goats to Lord Baal.

It’s cold, the roads are slipperly, and you get snow instead of rain. What’s there to be said? It sucks!

Well, theres this crazy tradition at my house to put up this tree - it’s fake - and put little glass and plastic bulb-looking things on it, string it up with lights and turn it on. Then we tell stories of a fat guy coming down my non-existant chimney and delivering an odd assortment of gifts.

It’s so weird.

RISK!!! RISK ALL DAY LONG!!!
That and turkey, ham, potatoes etc…we don’t have snow here.

If it snows, write your name in the snow. It a kind of a Male Trandtion. Like The Twinkle twinkle Scene of FF9.

Big Nutter
And shovel Snow down the Shoe princess’s Back. I think I’ll call dibs this year. More soon.

Bah, you think that’s a male tradition, try walking up Croke Patrick to write your name by a lake in big rocks. Now there’s a male activity for you.

Sneezing.

Well, snow! I have a bunch of young kids that live next to me now so they’ll probably ruin all my snow >:O But yeah, snow, and… PRESENTS!!! I can’t wait. Oh, and two or three weeks off to play WoW

I wish we got more snow where I live. When we have the winter precipitation, it’s usually ice, which ruins a lot of things.

atleast it snows where you live, down here in Miami we get nothing; except cold whether (which isnt even that cold >:o). But its better than 90’ weather

Time for me to Save some money for a snowboard and a couple tickets to Vail.

Ok, I don’t that some times. But I make Green Snow every Time it snows.

I once tryed to do a running jump in to a frozen sand bunker on the Local golf course. Owch! I aim to Land on my Back, but it was as hard as conrete.

Land…on your back? That’s never a good idea. And…green snow? WTF?

I moved to Florida, it’s 82 degrees outside.

Green snow isn’t made of water, it made of urine.

I have once slid to a lawyer house on (or off) my bike, it was the first year the Counsel didn’t have to grit all the roads by Law. So she couldn’t do any thing about it other than take her paper saying the samething.

Speaking of snow, I heard that there are some ski-centers (hills) that opened their runs up north (Quebec, BC, Alberta) in the last couple of weeks.
So, did you guys tried skiing or snowboarding already? How was it?
Edit: same question for those who have snow 12 months a year.

I think you mean yellow snow. Why your urine is green is beyond me.

I hate the bloody season. Christmas aside, winter is my least-favorate time of the bloody year. Wake me up when spring comes. :boring:
