Yay ^^

Woah, that’s really pretty cool Flint. Plan on going? =P

Woo! 2010 is ours! Unfortunately my mom woke me up 4 hours early to tell me it.

That’s pretty neat. Wake me in 7 years when it happens :stuck_out_tongue:

How much did it cost them?

there’ll be HUGE pressure on the NHL to let the NHLers play again in that olympics, they were planning on stopping it I think last I heard

I think it was because the Olympics and the NHL schedule didn’t work out. So some teams would lose their best players because of the Olympics.

But that’s cool. Good for Vancouver. I still think Whistler is too far away from Vancouver.

that’s good news… I one time heard somewhere on a sports radio or something where the Winter Olympics at one time where thinking about having it in Sugarloaf, ME. Now that would kick ass

Well I’m certainly not going to stick around here when this happens… Vancouver will just turn into a giant tourist attraction then.

Lucky Vancouverians: They get to see drooling men in tight suits. nod, nod

I never liked sports: Not summer, nor winter.

Xelo: They said it cost 35M$ on the news.

“It’ll be quite a show,” Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien said. “We won the world, so hooray!”

And remember Canadians, this is the man who runs our country.

On a more related note, I’m shocked that Pyeongchang almost got it on the first ballot, considering that Beijing hosts the 2008 Olympics.

When has he ever spoke English that made full sense? :stuck_out_tongue:

But Vancouver already is a gigantic tourist attraction.

Hopefully the new infrastructure which will be put in place for the Olympics will do us Vancouverites some good. But knowing that idiot premier of ours, he will probably overspend and build up the deficit more unless he gets defeated in the next provincial election.

Yeah, but when the Olympics are here, I’d imagine Vancouver would be very similar to the PNE, X100, for about 2 weeks… doesn’t sound too pleasant to me, but obviously I’m in the minority.

When has he ever spoke a language that made sense? Seriously, he’s not much better when he addresses us.
