FF6 easily. the music not only emcompasses all emotions of the characters very well, but also inculdes the only Opera Scene in the entire FF series, which makes a great musical collection in it’s own right.

7 had the best. 6 had very good music as well.
I can’t decide, it’s a tie amongst 10, 6, and 4.
ff6 has the best music. second best is ff7
Tactics and Mystic Quest hands down… List-wise, I’ll go with FF4~FF6.
Seven would be my first choice over world 1 is(In my opinion) the best rpg song ever. Next I would choose tactics, the music is well done in that game.
I am apparently one of the few people out there who hated the entire FFVII Soundtrack. And I mean, I can’t think of one song on it I like.
…Except the Cosmo Canyon/Seto Theme. Other than that, it’s crap.
Ten, simply because it was orchestrated- some of the earlier ones, if done “properly”, would absolutely own, but as it is, I’d have to go with 10. Then 8. In particular-
Otherworld
Suteki Da Ne
Tidus’s theme
Besaid Island theme
-Not the Ronso remix of the hymn of the fayth, though 
- You know why? One Winged Angel, I love that song.
