Oh yes, Parasite Eve was one of the pinnacles of awesomeness. Mind you, it wasn’t nearly as grandiose as some RPGs, but what it did try to do, it pulled off with flying colors. And just how many RPGs are based on real world modern times? I don’t know of many. I haven’t played PE2 because I heard it was more survival horroresque, but I’m reconsidering now.
Although I would trade a PE sequel for a new SMRPG, as evidenced from my first post.:booster:
There’s also the Gears of War philosophy - they didn’t do a lot of innovation in their game, but everything they did do, they got it right. Damn right.
While I didn’t care too much for PE, and only watched the FMV’s for PE2, I’d play a next-gen version. I guess you could kind of call it Dirge of Cerberus, but with Vincent, instead of Aya (who is admittedly rather hawt).
I did like CC, I enjoyed recruiting all the characters. I liked it better than CT, but I never gave CT a fair chance I guess. And yeah, I realize this makes me a heretic.
