When threads go off topic

as long as it isnt a serious post about like somone dying. And as long as everyone is having fun, and being entertained by the goings on in that thread. What is the point of closing it? I think stuff like that is one reason why people dont like the way rpgc is nowa days. I mean, I was surprised that my thread had 100 withing the time that I was away. I wasnt asking it to be closed. I mean, give it a little time and people will close it themselves.

PS take this off topic and die! unless its entertaining.

Ya… I mean, for christ’s sake, getting off topic is what half of the RPGC Agoras is about!

Like Charl said, there are times when getting off topic is bad, but as long as people behave, why not?

Also, it might be just me, but there should be more threads about video games. and alot less threads about current events, they are too boring.

I agree.

Nobody forces anybody to talk about certain issues. If people want to talk more about video games, then they’d talk more about video games.

As for going off topic, it’s the natural course for any a discussion. One topic leads to other, which leads to another one, and so on.

omg ff7s teh bestest rpg ev0r

Errr… I don’t speak Lame very well. Excuse my horrible try at it.

But yeah, stop locking threads. The Frog one had such potential about the evilest creatures.

this isn’t the tob and we don’t like free posts.

The frogs were fun…sighs I miss the frogs.

Yea, but if all threads got locked for going offtopic, there’d be a lotta locked threads.

'sides, if you lock threads like the frog one, then it’d be all serious and we couldn’t have fun. And stuff.

There’s a difference between a thread going naturally off topic, and someone just coming in and changing the topic to something completely unrelated for no reason.

I’m pretty sure that most people here are smart enough to come up with other forms of entertainment besides random incoherent babble. Most.

I think that what Cala was referring to was the atmosphere. As in, without any babble, the atmosphere would be too serious to have fun, not that the babble was in and of itself a primary form of entertainment.

TD, you’re overestimating the intelligence of the RPGC community.

Alright then. You’re stupid. Get off my property.

Gasp! RPGC is now RPGDragon’s property! He will rule us all with iron fist!

TD will be our new Dark Lord. Kagon is too old to do the job correctly. NodNod

Who is RPGDragon? A nickname for TD?

A previous name of TD’s, when he was a total and complete dumbfuck.

Of course, I wasn’t around then. That’s how he described himself.

I hate RPGDragon. RPGDragon sucked. But he left one day for some reason, and TD came the next day. So I think TD might have killed him. Yay for TD!
