Yeah, having both is perfectly doable. 
Considering that I’m pretty low-maintenance, I’ll take Option 2. Don’t need all that money anyway. And it’s awful to come home from work one day feeling too burnt out to do anything you enjoy.

If the high-paying job was one of those regular work too much jobs, I definetly wouldn’t go for it. What good is it to have money if you don’t have enough time to really enjoy it?

No. 2. Most definatly, my dream job is of course to do something with videogames, but alas me math skills are not so good. So im going down the culinary arts path, cooking and stuff.

I’d enjoy being well paid. If there’s no enjoyment in it though, or it’s just dull, I can quit and find something else.
Being an artist is the thing I’ve always strived for. Getting alot of money never even crossed my mind. So in the end, I KNOW that #2 is for me. I’d not have ignored school and drawn every day all day if I cared about making money. Then again, Public schools don’t really teach you anything more than how to stay quiet for 7 hours and listen to someone else talk. AKA, prepairing you for today’s business world.

That’s most likely due to the inundation of people like you. With more people willing to be programmers, the market gets oversaturated. Employers realize they can drop wages and be able to afford more programmers to lower costs and increase profits.
And really, being the least paid programming job doesn’t say much unless you give it in context of how much the other jobs get paid. Like, a Congressman in the US House of Representatives is the least paid of HoR, Sen, and Prezzy, but the income is, last time I checked, still well in excess of $100,000.
