What is your worst nightmare?

I found myself giving some thought to this a few days ago.

I came to decide that my worst was what I have dubbed ‘the dead spring’. From what I could see in the dream, the world lay in the perdition of nuclear winter and that as far as I could see, plants and animals lay dead, dying and decomposing everywhere. What little life that remained had been horribly mutated. I knew for some reason that it was spring. I awoke and found myself crying for all that had perished in the nightmare; it was especially painful for me because spring is my favourite season. Now, certain things, such as post-apocalyptic movies and video games, and certain heavy metal lyrics (such as Metallica’s Fight Fire with Fire) remind me of the nightmare and make me sad (although none have yet caused me to weep).

Being buried alive or trapped in a tightly-enclosed space came as a close second.

Mine’s quite simple; I’m in a chair, in my living room, sitting across from a girl who I know is Michelle. She’s just staring at me and not saying anything, and I can’t look away from her, 'cause my head won’t turn, and neither will my eyes.

This dream scares the hell out of me.

I dom’t really have nightmares per se, so much as really bizarre dreams that may or may not put me in movie-like settings where I’m screwed, but it’s still entertaining.

One I remember…lesse…I was in the system of tunnels as some sort of orphan vagabond. There were two races, humans and some other people (kinda looked like the Kazon). So we were all fighting for survival, and against each other. Dog eat dog, y’know. Anyway, one day I discovered I could shoot telekinetic lasers from my eyes. But as soon as I did, I accidentally killed one of the other people who was trying to attack me. So now all of them wanted to kill me, and I went to escape. I manage to get to the surface, but I discover that we’re actually on some forest island in the sky. Then, this bunch of Ordinators (Morrowind) appear and chase after me.

That’s all I remember.

Aside from that. I’d say being crushed. I’ve had innumerable dreams about being crushed. My head in particular.

I havn’t had a nightmare in a long time…I remember one some years back that invloved my mom cmoing after me with an axe, but most of that one was more silly than scary.

I once dreamed that I was a guest on ‘Barney’.

Okay, I can never remember the exact details (which leads me to believe it may actually be a night terror, but I don’t believe it occurs at the correct time of sleep to be a terror, but then it only occurs when I have a serious backlog of sleep, like after an all nighter) but the general idea behind it is I somehow managed to casue the destruction of the universe or something to that sort. All I can really remember becides that is that it scares the freaking hell out of me.

Oh, and I also have visions, and I’m not kidding, but these Deja vu situation are always something stupid and not relevelent to anything, like it would be me sitting in a desk taking a test, and then like a year later I’ll be taking a test and the paper will be exactly the same and other stuff like that, or I’ll be somewhere talking to people and I’ll notice that I’ve seen this before. But there’s no sound and any text is always blurry, but the patterns are the same. I’m seriously not kidding.

Freaky. But all the dreams I have I don’t remember, well I tell a lie MOST of them I can remmebr a few. I had this one nightmare that I can remember, where I walked around killing my friends then someone shot me in the heart, it freaked me out. But that’s probably the only memorable nightmare I have.

Me, standing over Julia’s corpse, knife in hand, insane glint in eyes, horrible smirk, and (and believe me, this was what made it so horrible) then I started taking her clothes off. I woke up around then, but still, I was scared shitless then. it was about then I started questioning my real sanity in life.

whoever was in edens world to hear my dream, thats the weirdest dream ever.

I once had a dream that consisted entirely of myself being killed in various, but equally horrible ways. I have yet to find what caused that one.

I haven’t had nightmares in a very long time. I suppose my brain found out that this world is a nightmare, and that it doesn’t need to make one up.

I’m not sure what it would be really. That everything is and circle, and that nothing ends, I guess. Too bad that is probably the way it is.

I am content with my happy dreams, and it seems like my brain is too.

Haven’t had any in a while. For a time I had a recurring one about being chased by large carnivorous dinosaurs, but I usually realized they were nightmares and interupted them before anything really happened.

I have the exact same thing. It’s really weird man, sometimes I’m just walking with my friends and one of them says something, and then bam, it’s like I instantly remember that dream and I know that it happened in my dream… I dunno why it happens, it kinda creeps me out too.

As for nightmares, well I don’t usually have nightmares, but I did have one kind of recently… I dunno why, but I was Fry, from Futurama, and I don’t remember much, but in the end some dude told me I was gonna die, or I already died. I tried waking up, but I was still in that state where you’re kind of paralyzed, and you can’t move, and you’re still dreaming but you’re awake, and everything in my room looked so messed up, for some odd reason my desk was bubbling and moving… heh it’s kind of cool now that I look back on it, but yeah, I didn’t really want to go back to sleep after that.

I have always had Deja vus, moreso lately actually. Started remembering them a couple of seconds before the events now, I suppose that’s an improvement.

It’s freaky.

Fear my psycic powers.

I don’t remember any of my dreams, so If I have had any nightmares, I’ve got no idea what they are.

I also get Deju Vu often, usually around 2-4 times a day.

Deva-u is merely the slowing-down of the brains signals travelling betwen two neurons that is usually instant, thereby giving you the feeling you have seen it before. Unless of course, you have seen it before.

I don’t get deja-vu. I feel left out.

I don’t know why I was scared, but the nightmare that I can remember almost too well is strange. I’ve walked into a strange room that has all sorts of children’s toys. I walked to a velvet curtain and pulled it back and saw little creepy clown dolss. I became scared and began to run away. I saw someone that I knew and I ran to them for dear life. We were in a toy store. But then things began to be possessed and I realized I didn’t have my cross, so I began to pray, but to no avail. In the pit of my stomach I felt something grip me and I felt like I was going to be next. So I forced myself to wake up.

Clowns seem to be a common nightmare. Why is this? They’re not that sinster, Tim Curry not included of course.

My scariest nightmare happened quite a while ago, when I was much younger… like seven. Only, it didn’t seem like a dream then, and to this day I have trouble saying that it was JUST a dream.

I remember laying in bed, and looking up at my ceiling (Like I said, it didn’t feel like sleeping) and I heard someone cry out “Please daddy! Daddy no! Stop it daddy please” and it sounded like me, but I wasn’t talking.

However, while that was the scariest dream I’ve ever had, maybe due to my age at the time, or the fact I still don’t remember being asleep for that.

I myself dream everynight. More then one dream, almost all the time and like Nulani, I get quite a bit of deja-vu. It is now becoming more of something that I don’t notice so much, though. People often ask me how I knew that, and then I remember “Oh yea, deja-vu”. So I guess I am becoming incressingly at ease with it, or whatever.

I love my dreams still, more so then reality. For some reason, in them, I feel as though I have that one piece missing from my life. That little thing you’re always turning around for, and hoping it is sitting there. So yea, dreams are fun because I’ve managed to, most of the time anyways, remain totaly consiousness of my actions. Almost like being awake, it’s great fun.
