what is your Holy Grail?

Shinobi. It’s the only game that I’ve had to use every ounce of everything in my being to beat on it’s hardest mode.

And the protagonist has the most badass scarf ever, EVER:

Hiya.

Ultima 4
Phantasy Star 3
Doom

I remember Diddy Kong, but I want Doom. Or SOM. What? I never got to beat it.

I don’t know about all console gaming, but it’s definitely the pinnacle of action games, with Super Metroid not far behind. My pick would be Final Fantasy III.

FF1.

SUPER MARIO RPG was THE first RPG I ever played; I’ve been hooked since. Despite having played over 50 RPGs in the last seven years, SMRPG still compares favorably. I REALLY would like to replay it… but it was stolen from me (along with my Super Nes) by my cousin’s ex-girlfriend years ago. Sob

As for RPGs I’ve never played but would love to, everything I hear about EARTHBOUND makes me think I would enjoy it too.

You should really grab yourself a good SNES emulator, Wil. Nowadays, it’s pretty much the only way to get a taste of the classic 16-bit RPGs. The people who actually have them are either never selling them or selling them for stupidly high prices.

On that note, mine is my copy of Chrono Trigger for the SNES. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Culex was so easy.

I’d kill anyone that tries to get their grubby little hands on my SNES cartridges.

um, what’s a holy grail?

The holy grail is the goblet that Jesus Christ drank from at the Last Supper. The stories say that drinking any liquid from the grail bestows great healing power and ever-lasting youth.

it is featured in the King Arthur stories also
I dont know much about the books but I have seen 3 King Arthur movies
In Monty Python,God tells The Knights of The Round Table to search for The Grail,
In Excalibur,King Arthur becomes sick, and sends The Knights of The Round Table to find The Grail,
in Army of Darkness(yes it has King Arthur, well Lord Arthur) The Necronomicon takes one the role of The Holy Grail and sends Ash to find it so Ash can return to the present.

Not to mention Indiana Jones and every other medieval-ish flick under the sun.

In this case, it’s meant as, basically, an old game that is hard to find but you have and cherish.

As for me:

Final Fantasy 1 (both copies)
Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest

Hell yeah.

My Holy Grail of Older games would consist of…
Langrisser
FF 4, 5, 6
Rudra No Hihou

The Legend of Mana. It took me over a year to find a copy of that game.

Breath of Fire, Secret of Mana, Lufia 2 and FF4.

Guess I’m the only real FPS fan over RPGs…talk about being the odd man out.

I bought Breath of Fire(1 and 2) at a flea market fo only six dollars each.
:hahaha;    :mwahaha:

Anyone ever read The DaVinci Code? Oh well, I remember the good old days of Ultima Online from my childhood, getting scammed, being molested via chat, ahh memories.
