That would be pretty interesting if Square made a fighting game with all the chars and villians from all the FF.=_- that would be a long selection but only few… i can picture a soul calibur and magic fighting… lol it could be dope… i mean if capcom vs snk can do it why not square? you never know you know know…p:unch::
:ulty: Ultros can be a NPC as an instigater but a ultra secret hidden char
Ergheiz was kinda like that.
All it had was Seph and Cloud, though

Plus Tifa, Vincent, Zack, and Yuffie.
You got some pretty good ideas there… using magic in a beat-em-up a la Golden Axe would be pretty cool, as well as special weapons- I mean, Link rocked in Soul Calibur 2, maybe Square vs. Enix tournament? :get it?:
Cloud vs Dias would be interesting to see.
Sephiroth vs. Dias would be much better.
Ehrgeiz kinda sux… The graphics were ok though… But the gameplay and storyline is bad. Some ppl might say, the hell with storyline it’s a friggin’ fighting game for fishy’s sake, but ppl like me feels that a good storyline in a fighting game kinda makes the game more fun, doncha think?

Who cares about the storyline the entire game sucked. The characters didn’t have many attacks. It was slow. It was complete crap. And worst of all, Sephiroth was pathetic.:thud:
They could make a decent fighting game using FF characters alone. Hell, Street Fighter 2 was one of the biggest fighitng games ever, and it only had 12 fighters, and only 8 of them were playable.
I think the SNES guys characters would wipe the floor with the Playstation ones.
I also think I should stop using Photoshop and get back to studying…
I think a Smash Bros. Style FF fighter would probably be the best . . .
wow . . . I can picture it now, you can fight in areas like FF6’s Collesium, FF7’s Midgar, FF8’s Ultimecia’s Castle, among much, MUCH more areas. . .
Items would include Magicite (Pokeballs), potions (hearts/Max tomatoes), Excalibur (Home-run Bat), and of course many many more . . .
a soundtrack including all of the Black Mages tracks (maybe just part 4 of Dancing Mad though), original and redone compositions.
At least 2 good guys and one villian from each FF . . . and Maybe have the old 8-bit Fighter as a secret character (like Mr. Game & Watch)
wow . . . that would be awesome . . .
hmm . . . how about this: A Final Fantasy Airship racing game! I think that’ll be great as well . . .
OMGosh i didn’t know a lot of people would enjoy my idea!!! HEHEHE! Finally i found the right forums to post… and people at DDRManiax.net thought i was crazy… HEHEHEHE! :moogle: As for the whole FF Fighting game thing… i’m going to email square enix about it and i’ll post a reply on what they said soo keep your ideas flowing so i can tell!! HEHEHE:ah-ha!:
I doubt it would be great.
Square is great at RPGs, but when they make non-RPG games they tend to suck.
True, thoughif it did work I think it would be pretty awesome, though I’m not too sure about the Final Fantasy Airship racing game Mako.

Unfortunately, that is true… if they collaborated with someone on it, though (Nintendo would be ideal, shame that’d invalidate FFs VII-XII from the game, probably), they’d definitely be onto a winner. It’d sell by the bucketload, anyway.
And FFmaster: Good luck emailling Square, I’m not saying that this idea is a bad one (as it isn’t) but the odds of you getting a reply from them are so close to nil it’s not funny :too bad; I doubt this is the first time someone’s come up with the idea- the secret characters in Ehrgeiz probably sprang from an idea just like this one.
However, as I earlier stated, it doesn’t make it a bad idea. :get it?:
Namco would also be a good choice to make the game, since they made Soul Calibur after all.

Not so. There were different versions (two at least) and the first one I played had all 12 characters playable. Or something around that number. And then when I bought it, i got the shitty 8 playable character version.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 was probably one of the best fighting games I’ve played, and it had about 15 playable characters. Although many of the characters had similiar moves, the variety was very much appreciated.
Edgar + Chainsaw + Fighting Game = Fun!
Its a good idea, but it’d probably only contain characters from FF7 and up.

That’s actually largely untrue. When I first got my Playstation years ago, I hit the internet and, not knowing much about games anymore (long story), I emailed someone from Square about what games they had out, what they were like in comparison to other games and future releases. I got a rather prompt email back that had all the information I requested, typed up.

Call me cynical, but that sounds like it had more than a little to do with your willingness to put your hand in your pocket :ah-ha!: :get it?:
