What have you done to yourselves!

I don’t feel nearly as bad about where I’ve worked. I’ll also note that you have balls of steel. Fucking rock solid.

A meetup would be a good idea, except we’re all scattered to the four winds and I doubt most of us would want to meet uhh… most of us. I’m convinced you’d be interesting to talk to, if it’s any consolation.

I’m coming into a job that’s going to pay me quite a bit of money (but I’m still embarrassed about what field it’s in considering I have a four year degree [also, certain people in this forum enjoy pissing me off]). I also keep (unsuccessfully) submitting poetry and fiction to magazines. I have a good feeling about the last string of submissions, though!

Prostitution?

If you consider any work done for a corporation prostitution, then yes.

This is an interesting thread

I spent the last year actually doing something with my old Literature and English Bachelor’s degree and used it to get into a one-year Master’s programme to become an archivist. My trainee place liked me so much that they offered me a brief summer job which I started this week, on top of my other summer job which I’ll work the weekends in the coming weeks. The second job is summerjob plus weekends and whenever they need extra help, and the archive also wants me to be available to come running whenever they need extra help. I get by pretty well with very little income, but I’m looking into getting a full-time job. The job market is fairly good, so I’m not very worried.

Also that Master’s course lead to a degree, in Swedish “Philosophy Magister in Archival Theory.”

Esentially that means I can now call myself Magister Weiila.

BOW TO ME.

Pornography. Hardcore.

What a prostitute, my word rolls eyes LOL!

bows

Congrats Magister Weilila!

We already do, [STRIKE]Mistress[/STRIKE] Magister Weiila!

Kidding aside, congratulations!

Pornography. Hardcore.

Apropos of nothing, (ex) porn star Asia Carrera is both a Carnegie-Hall performing pianist and a member of Mensa. Why did she get into porn with such talent? I guess she just liked it!
:no2:

I finished up my BA in mathematics last year and am now in my second year of grad school. Well, I will be in my second year in about two weeks if I can get my whole “I forgot to pay the school so they kicked me out” thing straightened out.

BA in mathematics? Shouldn’t it be BSc for Math?

Math isn’t really either, so it’s up to the unversity to decide whether it’s going to be a BA, BSc, or even its own degree (BMath)

I took the bar exam a week ago, and now I’m off to Lollapalooza, then Kyoto for two weeks. If all goes as planned, I’ll be a licensed New York City lawyer by year’s end. As for practice areas, antitrust and securities litigation seem likely.

I was thinking about doing Lollapalooza Friday, before heading back to China - but then I fond out Hot Chip, Jamie Lidell and The Black Keys were all playing at the same time so I said fuck it.

How did you enjoy the exam experience?

Most miserable days of my life. I spent two months studying 8-12 hours a day, only to arrive at a 5x6 ft hotel room with communal bathrooms, and lay near-sleepless on a hard bed with noisy A/C for three nights straight.

But the exam itself was just fine. No surprises. I’m irked NY devoted a whole essay to criminal law, the subject I care about least, but it also tested commercial paper and domestic relations, which I know pretty well and most people don’t. Overall, I feel pretty good about it.

Have you heard of anyone cheating on the MPRE? Haven’t taken it yet, and I haven’t heard a story like that. I just think it would be incredibly funny if someone did and was caught.

I went to a liberal arts school. No one can get a BS in anything there.

No cheating, but at NYU, we had an efficiency contest. Whoever passed with the lowest score won. With the minimum passing score being 85 of 150, a friend of mine ranked in at 94, narrowly beating me.

But I want to be a rap-ist

What have I done? Too damn much.

Finally got my BA in Science, with my major in BCIS (Business Computer Information Systems), so school’s done for now. On top of that, I finally received my Security certificate which now declares me as a Information Systems Security Professional, Senior Systems Manager. That’s on top of the all the damn programming languages I had to learn (Java, VB, ASP.NET, SQL variations, etc.)

Anywho, with those accomplishments out of the way, I just gotta find a job. Had a job at the school I was at, but that’s only Student Worker stuff, so I’m out of a job now. Sadly, the job hunt hasn’t been going that well, though I’ve gotten an interview or two. Since graduating, it’s been pretty boring, with some drinking interspersed in there occasionally. Think I may have to go out of my way and learn Linux or get some more certifications.
