What have I been saying about Iraq?

Being a launch pad for attacks into other countries in the Middle East? LIKE IRAN? Especially since it was named an “evil” country?

Big surprise. As if we’re not in over our heads enough as it is. :\

“We don’t want another WMD flap. We want to be sure we have the right information.”

The gall of that guy. It’s like, “Looks like we bombed a country based on false info, but we’ll make sure the info’s right when we bomb the next one.”

And we have Iran surrounded. We really can’t afford to attack Iran right now while we have two war going on. If something happens in Iran, I can DEFINITELY count on being there. They’ll need my unit since we are one of four of our type in the entire Marine Corps. I read about this yesterday and it sort of pisses me off. I don’t like the news sharing delicate information like that, especially on a source like the internet where anybody can read it.

This’ll just increase the already near 100% likelyhood of me being redeployed roughly a year after i get home. I’m gonna start looking into the Air Force as a viable option as soon as I get home and can ask my family about who they will and wont take that’s prior service.

dt! Have you been shot yet? What’s it feel like? Do you become really good friends with the guys in your squad? Is war for a GI like how they portray it in Fallen Angels? Hours of boredom, seconds of terror, or something like that. Has anyone in your squad been killed yet? What’s it feel like to see so many people dying?

…Never been shot at, nor has anyone in my battalion(well at least not during this deployment). Boredom yes, which hopefully will stay the same for my 2 week rotation through tower guard. Nobody has died, nor have I seen any dead bodies yet. I didnt convoy up here, but I’ve supposedly got convoys coming up eventually to go pick up parts from other units that are leaving… Vehicle parts, not body parts you sick fuckers. If what I’ve been told is anywhere near the truth, my convoy runs will be through some of the worst areas of Iraq. So yay and shit. But whatever, I signed up for it knowing the risks, so I can only blame myself and tell all of you to NOT ENLIST. Unless of course you like the risk of being killed by mortars or IED’s or unseen assailants from crowds gathering around your trucks.

Um…I didnt post that >_>

“This is a war against terrorism and Iraq is just one campaign,” Hersh quotes one former US intelligence official as saying. “The Bush administration is looking at this as a huge war zone. Next we’re going to have the Iranian campaign.”

Let it continue…

Well of course; they need to bring the media attention out of Iraq. It worked in Afganisthan.

I wish they would be more careful. For some reason the American economy affects the Norwegian economy, which affects my economy; and I don’t want my economy to be buttshagged because some twits in Washington D.C. failed Economics.

Y’know, I’m really starting to get scared now. Shit’s starting to hit the fan already and things are going to get a whole metric ASSLOAD worse before it gets better if this carries on.

Next up, those infidel terrorist in Canada! TO THE FROZEN NORTHS OF THEIR CAPITAL, KINGSTON!

But seriously, did anyone really believe that it was going to stop with only two countries destroyed?

:kissy:

The American economy is the biggest in the world, which is why it has an affect on many, if not all, economies. Hell, California has one of the biggest ecomonies in the world. However, Bush doesn’t economics, which is why we are in the situation we are in now. Such as the deficit is terrible, the dollar is going down in value, and California is struggling to recover from the energy crisis of 2001. Bush takes his job too personally. Such as the only reason he didn’t help California during the energy crisis is because we voted for Gore. This is proven by him making Washington D.C. pay for his inauguration, which should have been covered by another fund of money since they overwhelmingly voted for Kerry (90%). Bush takes things too personal depite the consequences. This would also explain the rush to attack Iraq, Also, Bush doesn’t understand that California has one of the largest economies in the world. If our economy falls, the whole countries falls and every hurts, like we are now. If Bush had helped us in the energy crisis, then the economy would be better than it is(still bad because Bush has done many other things to fuck it up, but better than it is). Hell, Bush has shown his feelings toward California by helping places like Florida after hurricanes last year.

Luckily, it won’t be much longer.

You had a typo, I think that this is what you meant to say.

Either way, there is still some time. I just hope it can last until Bush is out, then things should get better with whoever is President, Democrat or Republican (unless of course it is Cheney, but I doubt he’ll run).

Lovely. Now the Neoconservatives have chosen Iran to proclaim as evil and having weapons of mass destruction that are to be used against America. It’s like a chain reaction.

So, when’s the Quebec invasion, I mean, the MNLQ’s still out there!

No, I meant luckily.

I think she meant luckily. If not, luckily works better anyway, considering the USDollar is based on:

*The national debt
*Alan Greenspan’s ability to see the future
*The IRS’ ability to collect taxes
*The amount of tanks and guns in the U.S. military

And besides, the Euro is going to take over anyway, since it is propped up by more substance. Hell, a dollar only gets .60 of a euro anyway.

It only seemed like a matter of time: I am sure that they have wanted to invade for years.

Actually, currency is based on a another system. Such as the IMF is what determines how much a country’s currency is worth when compared to others. Also, you missed the joke and she says luckily since she isn’t American. I am American so I want our currency to go back up, which is why I say it is too bad it is going down. If your American, you should want the currency to go up. Also, your last comment about the military shows that you have no idea how battles are won or what determine the power of a military. In fact, the US military today is much smaller than it has been in the past. It’s all about tactics, not the amount of weapons. If you need any sort of proof, just look at special forces from what you see. They are trained extensively in tactics to make up for their small size. Also, the military doesn’t affect the economy as much as you think, at least in times of peace.
