Well I'll be damned.

It’s not quiet no mores. The guys at the local shop fixed it up quick-like ($20 extra up-front helps apparently). Not exactly sure what was wrong with it, but hey, I’m not complaining now. They mentioned replacing a coupla things. Damned expensive in the end, but if it messes up in the next 6 months, I get a discount on repairs. This comp’ll be cheaper than buying a new one, so I’ll stick with. Might even move up to XP if I can get a bit more cash.

So for all y’all thinking I’m dead and whatnot, not by a longshot. And I hope ya ain’t killed me yet, and if ya have, consider me a miracle. :stuck_out_tongue:

Welcome back.

YAY! hugs Cala

Welcome back.

What happened?

Basically my computer just went and had an electric heart attack from what I gather. Just plain wouldn’t turn on (yes, everything was plugged in where it should’ve been). So I’m like “bloody hell” and was gonna buy a new comp but saw an ad in the papers for a computer store pretty close to me, so I’m like “eh, should try it.” Did, and I’m pretty pleased (and praying it lasts).

“$20 up front”
I bet.

Welcometh the backth, Cala…th.

j0.

Computers are evil… Good thing you got away without having to buy a new one.

Welcome back.

Yay, Cala’s back!

next time that happens try unplugging the power source from the motherboard and plug it back again, if someting in the power shorted that will probably fix it

oh, and…welcome back!

Hey your computer isn’t dead and you saved money. Now thats what I call a happy ending.

By the way, since you are not only back but also not totally broke, can I borrow a couple of bucks until Sunday?
