Weird Gaming Moment

OK, I’m sure something like this must’ve happened to you people sometime:

I was playing FFTactics Advance the other day, and as you surely know, the enemies there have randomly generated names (even the monsters (?) Well, in one of the battles, an enemy archer turned out to be named… Martinez?

Ok, I blink, but then I continue playing. But, a short time later, in another battle, ANOTHER archer shows up, named- Wilfred!!

OK, If a THIRD archer shows up with the name Segarra (that’s my LAST name, folks!) I’ll be officially creeped!

Got any similar stories?

PS- I miss the Mario Smilie!!

One time I was playing FFTA and I ran into a Moogle named Peter, and he told me that I had been chosen by God to defeat the English and lead the French to victory!

I’ve met some people in TO:KoL whos names bothered me.

Like Janus. (And I had been reading a bit too much of Weiila’s fic’s too back then)
Janus fought like a girl, mostly because she <I>was</I> a girl.

And later a faery appeared with the same name.
Kinda makes you lose respect for ol’ blue hair.

Best thing happened to me so far is still when in Nethack when a Nymph stole my cursed boots ^^

Or when I sacrificed Barney the Dinosaur in Nethack… :mwahaha:

oh, you want interesting names for characters, eh?

Licec and Aidyr- read them backwards, I always find that amusing.

There was also Jack, that Samurai I got in OB: MotBQ, along with the Amazon Diana, also known as Wonder Woman, who I later used a crown on to become a Princess. In short, Diana the amazon became Princess Di.

Let’s see … Felicia’s ending in Darkstalkers 3 is pretty off-kilter, and General Borghen in Final Fantasy 2 (the FFO remake) has a wierd laugh. It can’t compare with Kefka’s, though.
