I heard this wieird thing today and it kinda sounds like a place name from 7.
Mitgard
its Norse ( thats viking language) for Earth
I thought it sounded kinda like Midgar.

Mind you that was Midgard…
But the game also had Jormungand whom you could fight…well so coupling that with the name “Midgar”, little bits and pieces of Teutonic mythology were probably borrowed for FF7’s setting and storyline.
From what I can see VP is full of Norse mythology. So’s Tales of Phantasia.

What, really? Another Norse myth game? Ah I’ve never played that one before, after discovering this I must seek the game out >.>
I don’t see where the name Jormengau comes from anyway… probably ancient Viking, but whatever. It’s Midgårdsormen in Swedish; “Midgar Snake”.
