Walmart BAD!

Remember next time you’re in a walmart remember not to fall down…you may be stampeded over.

Peace on Earth and goodwill toward men.

Greed will be our undoing.

What do you mean ‘will be’?

the store apologized and offered to put a DVD player on hold for her

Sad, but unsurprising.

Ditto.

I knew it all along. Walmart is evil…

There was a free concert held here yesterday for Buy Nothing Day, but I was out of town…I’m too apathetic for post-holiday shopping, anyways.:get it?:

…and this is another reason why I didn’t want to get up at 5:30 to go to walmart yesterday. o_o; I mean, jesus, the deals are good, but not THAT good. People are disgusting. How could you be so caught up in getting a dvd player that you don’t notice you’re stepping on someone?

When soccer moms attack.

And everyday is buy nothing day for me, so no worries there.

Bloody hell… :thud: hypermarkets should take the theme park idea of virtual queueing- i.e. dish out edicts that only certain people can shop at a certain time and for a certain length of time… all would be happy, then.

…and, by any chance, were they going early to “beat the rush”? Because if they were, their plan didn’t really work, did it? :thud:

The problem with that is that everyone else has the same ideas. Oh well.

Let us take a moment to weep for society as a whole.

It’s one of those ideas that seemed good on paper but just couldn’t be put into practice properly. :thud:

Haw! I like that!

See, if you Americans had Thanksgiving in October like we did, this thread wouldn’t exist right now. It would’ve existed a month ago

Hee… coughs Saddening.

I don’t really see why some are saying it’s Walmart’s fault. I hate the chain as much as the next guy, but it’s not as if they tripped the woman before the crowd reached her or something.
