Naturally, we’re all a bit curious as to what the people behind the handles and sigs and avatars here at RPGC look like, and so we started that picture posting thread that’s had a long and amusing life. But I’ve been fooling around with the microphone on my computer, and the audio recording program recently, and I’m sitting here thinking to myself “gee, I wonder if anyone else out there is like me in that they’re curious as to what these wonderfully weird people at RPGC sound like as well?”
So here we go. Pst Vce Plz. Don’t be shy! Step up to the microphone and r0x0r your v0x0rs. Say something. Say anything. Tell a joke, read a favorite poem, introduce yourself, recite a favorite line of dialogue from a film or a tv show or, hey, an RPG. Maybe even read aloud something you just typed up in another thread.
Maybe we can get this stickied as a companion piece to the picture thread. Or something.
I’ll start. Here’s me, with a “funny” or “witty” observation on the holiday season. And if you listen closely, you can hear me sniffle periodically. Because I have a bit of a cold right now.
EDIT: Crap. Nevermind. .wav files seem to be invalid for the attachment box. Damn. Shoulda read that more closely before I got all worked up about this. Ah well. Point and laugh at Kaiser, I guess, 'till some mod has mercy and deletes this post. Bah.
So that’s what a Finnish voice sounds like. (I have a few online friends from Finland, but haven’t heard them talk.) Very cool, Mabat. 8)
A word of advice for anyone posting though; write down what you’re going to say on a Notepad file, and read off the screen. It’s a little easier that way.
Well, I don’t normally say things quite outrageous as these, they were made all in good fun for the mirc chat long ago, and I suppose they give y’all the gist of what I sound like. If anyone’s more interested in a more normal voice sample, just lemme know, I guess…

(To anyone who’s seen Arfenhouse: The Movie 2…remember in the intro when “Thief” says “REAAALY BAAAD VOOOOICEAAACTING!!!”? Yeah, that’s what it sounds like.)
