Van Helsing

Okay … I’ve finally seen it. And the only movie I saw that was dumber either that I did not see on MST3K or that was created by George Lucas was LXG. That was prbably the worst rendition of Dracula I ever saw, including the one in CV:SotN. And I kept calling the three brides flight attendants. Also, my sister noted that once again, Hugh Jackman was playing a rugged antihero with no memories, with connections to a wolf.

Getting back to Dracula: his transformation was scarier before we could see it clearly. It was all this tension just showing his shadow, and then just a letdown ‘n’ stuff when we get to SEE it.

I hope you didn’t pay to see that.

I didn’t think it was that bad. Not mind blowing in any way, but not terrible either.

Yar: Would you mind interpreting your alphabet soup?

Yeah, pretty terrible, about as bad as Leauge of the E. G. and both had Mr. Hyde and Dracula’s Bride(s) in them.

The ending battle was pretty much just two nintendos having sex with each other

Van Helsing kicked fucking ass >:O Did you not see the totally hot girl!?!

The movie was good for cheap thrills and mindless entertainment, if nothing else.

I liked [STRIKE]Wolverine[/STRIKE] Hugh Jackman and some of the comical dialogue, but that’s about it.

Van Helsing kicked fucking ass >:O Did you not see the totally hot guy(s)!?! :stuck_out_tongue:

But other than that, I was surprised at how bad the movie was. Even the special effects looked poor.

Oh, ok. I wasn’t really surprised it was bad. :stuck_out_tongue:

I saw it at a friends place a couple weeks ago. It was ok, nothing too great. I thought the monsters looked cool, and the occasional cleavage shot.

I saw that movie. It wasn’t that good, but it wasn’t bad, either.

It’s a fun movie  I rather liked it.

Pretty good, not great, but not bad, so-so. Totally not worthy of the name hellsing though.

Or Van Helsing. Although it occurs to me that it would’ve been much cooler if Christopher Lee had played Dracula. (On the other hand, one could say that this is just another Dracula/Frankenstein/Wolfman movie of the 30s and 40s!)
