Umm, am I the only one who finds it ironic that Rast was one of the biggest trollers in that god damned “Girlfriend” thread, but no one lifted a finger when he posted that list? Don’t get me wrong, I thought Rast’s post was fanTAAAAAAAAABULOUS, and certainly not out of place, but I just find it hypocritical that the mods would condemn everyone else but find his behaviour ok.

To be honest, the mods didn’t say at any point that Rast’s post was OK.
I was partly joking and partly showing my true feelings when I posted in that thread, the thread was in fact stupid in my opinion. We don’t need to know each other’s personal relationships as much as we don’t need to know who’s mother has Gonorrhea. More than likely, it was created to show off and allow others to do so too.

I disagree. In order for me to know what a thread is about I have to, oh say, read the thread.
As Sorc so eloquently illustrated, this post’s purpose was preety much to give anyone frustrated with das mods an outlet to rebuff their threads, which we can’t do otherwise since they close them, which kinda rubs me the wrong way.
And SG, you know I love you babe. But that thing Sorc posted? He’s got a point. Also, it helps to HAVE civil discource before lecturing people on it.

I didn’t see anything wrong with Rast’s post. o_O. He was in a thread where inappropriate behavior occured. Doesn’t mean that was he did was so inappropriate. Wasn’t asskissing, but it was in good taste and pretty funny unlike “you suxorz!!!”
Well, neither did I, but let me put it this way: Where DO you guys draw the line then, if Rast’s list is OK then what isn’t?

Eh, I better not get reprimanded for that freaking thread. Not only was I joking (if that’s not apparent I don’t know what is), but also I contributed to the discussion.
I find it funny how it is wrong to troll now, yet it was perfectly fien to do to Wert when he posted about Linux. Almost like trolling is bad and an offense, but it’s alright if it is about Linux. I’m still a bit stuck on it since I like Linux and may want to say a thing or two about it, but I don’t want to get in those stupid discussions. It pisses me off even more when I said the same thing that SG said and it was ignored. Ah well, everything else is pretty good and at least it is being handled better now.
It’s not really a rule, more of a guideline.

FYI, getting struck by lightning is like… having a large electrical discharge course through your body and exit through your feet.
You could always try taking a lightbulb out of a lamp and sticking your thumb in the socket. Or use a penny, good copper conductor. Pennies do have a use after all !!

Sorcerer, you do have a point in some cases; though in other cases, the topic of the thread is stated in one way or another, or it can be inferred or guessed. Even then, no one possesses one to post. Just cos you read it doesn’t mean you HAVE to post. So, what I was getting at still stands, and I believe that point that you made was rather nitpicky, sorry.
Like I said, I don’t know how much my fellow mods will back me up, but I was not pleased with ANY instance of trolling in that thread. I make general warnings as to not single out people and make them feel attacked, which is why I didn’t say “ESPECIALLY YOU RAST, THE FOUNDER OF RPGCLASSICS.COM!!!” I don’t call that very civil. So there you have it.
C’mon fellas, no need to be bitches. Trolling is great, if Trolling didn’t cause flame wars, I wouldnt be here today. Thats like the funnest aspect of RPGC.

Sometimes it’s funny to see when people post trollbait topics, but it’s really sad to see intelligent people go for them as trollbait.
