Try lurking for a while, post in already made threads for a while so you can learn what kind of threads are acceptable.
It boggles me how people don’t understand the system here. It’s not hard.
No, the main forum should not be specifically for Final Fantasy or RPGs in general. Just because this is an RPG site, does not limit our discussion to RPGs.
Seeing as how Final Fantasy is the biggest game franchise in existence next to Mario, it has it’s own forum.
Since an obtrusive amount of people enjoy that anime crap, they have their own forum as well.
Since we’re people, and some of us adults, not everything we do revolves around video games (unless of course, you’re dragonquester) - so we talk about other things in the Main Forum. The title really does say it all when you relate it to the other forums.
For gods sake, use common sense.

The FFC forum is both for Final Fantasy talk as well as FFCompendium talk (although the latter rarely ever happens). The FFC site itself is technically a subsite of RPGC, but in actuality the FFC seems to get more visitors than RPGC does, so terming it a close affiliate would probably be better.

Anyway, the description for the Main Forum is probably too vague and seems aimed more at regulars.
But seriously, if you just thought about for 6 miliseconds you’d realize that if it isn’t already covered by another forum then that’s probably where it’s supposed to go.

Because it’s the most active one. Also, general video game discussion used to occur there (save for PC games), but that got relegated to the VG Forum.

Look, if you don’t like what we call our forums, then fuck off. Seriously, why are you arguing with us about this?
Sorc, calm down and be nice. It can be confusing if you just look at the descriptions and don’t even really look at other forum descriptions. I know some Mods and Staff have even voiced some concern over the descriptions. Plus, the descriptions have basically not been updated at all since we switched to vBulletin.
I just find it kind of funny how a thread about a video game atlas, a thread about a video game, and a thread about video games relating to anime, can be closed on the main web forum for a web site that’s about video games. That’s all.
You’ll have to excuse Sorc, it’s just that you aren’t the first person here to make the mistaken assumption that we are unable to talk about anything besides video games. To be honest, we don’t even talk about games all that much, the VG Forum is popular but the Main Forum still holds the most numerous population and if you take a second to look around inside you’ll have a pretty good idea of what sort of stuff we chat about there. Why is this? I don’t really know.

So? Almost any good gaming website separates their general and gaming discussion. Just because a community is based around video games doesn’t mean the main topic of conversation has to be video games. We debate everything from politics to who’s mom gives a better lay. (Okay, well not really for that one, but you get the idea)
We don’t debate that, it’s accepted knowledge that your mom does.
There’s a difference between easiest and best lay, CHuh. I’d assume Epic’s mom is the best lay.

Beastmaster, this is like the funniest thread ever. I can see where some of our distinctions aren’t perfect, and hopefully now you know that video-game related discussion usually happens in other forums, both because it’s talked about a lot already and to encourage its discussion. As an admin, I apologize your threads weren’t moved or it wasn’t explained to you, that’s something we should do more often. Hopefully this didn’t turn you off from visiting here, we’re usually pretty cool.
