No, probably not. But the idea of changing a word like “tapping” or “hammeron” to a fancier more artful word does seem a bit elitist. That wiki quote actually justifies my arguement in how the music was termed with words that were common in the main centre of music (in the Western world) at the time. You’re obviously going to use words that are direct and apply to the actions or concepts you are signifying, hence why slide and sweeping etc are fine.
