Yes it is worth it, and very much so.
I saw it tuesday, and it is very funny. As far as this seasons animated movies go, it is the tied with The Incredibles for the best.
At some points the plot doesn’t flow…at all. It almost seems like they didn’t even try to smooth it over. And the woman who plays King Neptune’s daughter is a really, really, really, bad actor. But otherwise it is very funny.
And seeing spongebob rock out hair metal style at the the end is worth 6 bucks! 
Well, I’m NOT going to see it. I’ve seen the show and it is TOO dumb for my taste.
Not to mention Makko bugs me all the time with Spongebob jokes, cuz she knows I can’t stand him. >_<
I feel for you, Wil. I loathe Spongbob. I’d rather shove a lemon in my eye than see this movie.

It’s no bad, but go see the Incredibles if you haven’t. Wil the first few episodes of Spongebob are not that bad. Spongebob is less stupid and more cluless. You can tell which ones are older by the animation.
