THE RPGC SAGA 2007

Trouble with Dark Shock though is the fact that it can’t lower HP and Saiyns’ tend to have them in abundance. Plus how many hits does it take to fold up a Blue Mage? Now if you could cast a quick Mighty Guard and either Grand Train or Shadow Flare and your odds will start looking up. Of course if Veg’s level is of a multiple of five then you’ve got nothing to worry about.

By god. That’s IT!! Just use Doom on the bastard then provoke one of his grand standing speeches and you’re done. (Unless he’s got death protection then it’s back to the drawing board.)

Who Delivered a kick which could shatter bones, into the crotch of [STRIKE]Indiana Jones[/STRIKE] Vegeta

The problem with Doom, is most powerful beings always seem to be immune to it, so it’s unlikely that it would work on Vegeta. but if it did it certainly would make things easy.

A power drain might work wonders, but since this Vegeta is from late in the DBZ storyline, he is going to have loads of power. So draining would either take too long, or not be very effective, at least not on it’s own.

If we could get him to drain his own energy at the same time, possiblely from attacking clones/illusions. It would still be tough, but it there is a good chance of victory.

Use ‘The End’ from FF8.

And once again I find myself trying, unsuccessfully, to figure out how the hell you reconcile “game mechanics” with “how it’s supposedly actually happening” when playing it straight.

The question is whether Vegeta is a Boss type enemy, or rather a playable character. Afterall, there are Rpg esque DBZ games that have him as a player character, and as we all know such characters can by status effects, especially doom, easily.

It’s sounding like nothing short of deus ex machina will work.

Isn’t that the case with all super-powerful creatures though?

Well whatever he is let us hope that he’s not some kind of Mid Boss. Besides if he were a playable character then killing him wouldn’t be the greatest idea. After all having a god on the team even as a NPC would be a vast improvement over not having one at all.

Btw, what will the other party members be doing aside from being classified as high-grade cannon fodder?

Hey, gang, it’s me. Yeah, I’m still alive.

As you can guess, my plans to write this story have gotten screwed up- again. :too bad:

What happened? Same thing as last year- I’ve suddenly been swamped with both work and favors to do. I’ve been working again with my contractor friend at a local plant, helping my sister update her students’ records online (and let me say that the Puerto Rico Departament of Education website has some terrible incompetent software, you have to upload data for every student individually FOR EACH DAY OF CLASS! ::doh:: ) AND people have been coming to me with school projects they need done before classes are over- should’ve seen that coming, too. At first I thought, “I’ll finish my current work, post something, then work again” but like last year, I ended up too tired, especially if I had to work on the factory and the PC on the same day. :thud:

I should’ve told you people about this long ago. Sorry about that- at first, I just wanted to wait until I could post something, and then I felt embarrassed over not having posted at all. Yeah, I’m an idiot.

Anyway, I want you to know that I simply won’t be able to finish this until at least the end of May. I just can’t fit in carefree writing with my current tight schedule. HOWEVER, I want you to know I WILL continue the story. Unlike last year, I’m not suffering from anxiety as a result of trying to write AND work at the same time- I learned my lesson! So, I’m not blocked, I just need the time to write freely. I don’t know if anyone will still care about the story by next month, but I WILL still post it. Word!

My thanks to those of you who contacted me wondering what was going on (And note, my old Email address is having problems, sometimes I don’t get messages at all) so please contact me at Sijoy2k5@Yahoo.com from now on, OK?

I will still post on the boards, so you’ll still see me around, as that takes me like 5 minutes to do, it’s only the stories that require more time.

Be well, guys!

Ouch. Yeah … hope things get better soon!

Okay Wil… I guess the outside world does come first and all. Just get back to us when you can.

And the delay just means we may have to re-read the earlier parts to remember what was happening. Somehow that doesn’t sound all that bad.

By all means, take your time and return to the story when your timetable has cleared up. Take care.

In the words of the NOD Avatars:
“I LIKE!”

Mmm… This has to be one of the top things that I’ve missed while away from RPGC lately. (Or, actually longer than “lately”, but meh…) The awesome stories “happening” around here.
Keep up the good work Wil.

(Also, I feel like changing to a recently created avatar (for LJ, actually. But still appropriate) for this. :))

Poke!! Nice to see you! Thankx for the kind words, as you can see the story is on hold until the end of the month but I’ll definitely come back to it full-charge once I’m sure I’ll have no distractions. Why don’t you join in? These stories aren’t quite the same without you. Especially given Weiila’s Going-Dark Plotline. You’d fit well in there.

Hmm… That sounds like a plan.
Like I said, I love these stories.

Great! Just go to the join thread (here: http://agora.rpgclassics.com/showthread.php?t=27817&highlight=RPGC ) and post the info I ask for. I’ll take care of the rest!

Gah, stupid schooling made me miss signups. CURSÉD SCHOOLING! D:

Seriously, I just didn’t have time to check the media forum. :frowning:

Now to read the story so far!

Actually Cavelcade, the signups should still be open. Since Wil said it would be open until the end of the story. And everyone who signups will make an appearance. But of course the later you join the less of a part you will have.

But since this is still on hold at the moment, just go and add your info to the signup thread (should be around somewhere), or send it straight to Wil himself if you want.

Oh cool.

I still think I’ll read the story before I do though. Make it easier to slip in.
