Don’t know if this will help but just now in my local news they showed that wii sports is the most sold game of all time with over 40M copies sold surpassing SMB,Tetris,and duck hunt.
I’m sure I could find a sub-Saharan African who doesn’t know who Cloud is.
And I’m pretty sure SMB was the game that defined platforming, burnt through the U.S. market and allowed Nintendo to get something like 80% of the pie. NES initially shipped units exactly because of SMB. Not to mention that my mom doesn’t know who Cloud is 
Yeah, I think it’s probably easy to find at least a few hundred thousand people who doesn’t know who cloud is. Not every one plays video games, much less Final Fantasy or doesnt look at game mags or sites.
I’m never exaggerating anything here ever again.
