I’m no DBZ fan either. I just know that super saiyans > normal saiyans by a factor of several million (or something on that order). So yeah, being reduced in power like that is quite a blow.
Normal Saiyan … (power level around 732 or so)
… Super Saiyan (power level around 159285-ish).
Perci and Mengde: Saiyans are an alien race, the one Goku belongs to. They’re naturally superpowerful (think Kryptonians) but a few ones (like our Galloway) can temporarily boost their power levels even more.
d: For a non-serious story, the action sure rocks!
Keep it up!
Psst: When am I getting my (female) booty? Huh??
:hahaha;
Wil, you’re luck gallo will give you some shemale booty or at the very least some real nasty stuff.
Uh…okay. Let me get the only available female in the story. throws F. Galloway at Wil and runs
Nice, d. Keep it up.
You know, I could be sorta considered as “available”, since I don’t little thigns like monogamy and loyalty keep me from playing the field. But still, if you put me and Wil together, I will do things to you, Galloway, that even I shudder to consider.
The Final Saga part 8: The Collapse Begins
By d_Galloway
The hellhound looked up defiantly at Kiro, who was busy trying to find the cookies. Finally, she pulled out a small ziplock, inside of which were several chocolate-chip cookies, along with one plain cookie. She reached into the bag and pulled out the plain one, which she handed to the evil hell beast.
The dog looked at the cookie. “Give me a chocolate one. Perhaps I’ll die and go back to Hades.”
“Weiila, let’s go,” said demigod. “The others would be interested in learning what the book said.”
“Galloway will catch up later,” said Glenton. “He’s a Super Saiyan, remember?”
Weiila nodded. “You’re right. As long as he’s an SSJ, we don’t have to worry about anything.”
“Thank you, Mazrim Taim,” said Mengde. “You are worthy of your reputation.” Mazrim simply watched them leave in silence, then returned to his studying and brooding.
Sir Percival slowly walked through the forest, his sword firmly gripped in his right hand. What was once a lively forest transformed into a dying environment as he ventured closer and closer to the source of his beckoning. Finally, he reached what remained of a grove in the center of the forest, the trees and ground having been scorched by massive waves of heat. A single body, clutching a red sword, was lying in the center of the destruction. It was a middle-aged man, with silver hair, and silver-and-black armor. Cautiously, Percival drew closer to the body.
The sword flew up, nearly ripping through the paladin’s armor. The body climbed to his feet, grabbed the sword, and leveled his cold eyes at Percival. The paladin was seized in terror at the monster before him; the gaze betrayed the pure evil radiating within the swordsman.
“A paladin,” said the man. “I have returned to RPGC.”
“Who are you?” shouted Percival. “Answer, lest I run thee through!”
“I am Morgan Orsland Xian,” said the man. “I am the one known as Mox.”
“Mox…Indeed, I have heard of ye. Though art the sorcerer that turned Weilla into a chibi!”
“Correct. Well, I think you won’t be much of a threat, paladin. I survived the horrors of Hell, the pain of many deaths, unspeakable torture and evil. It has only made me the strongest being to have ever existed.”
“Silence, demon!” said Percival. “Have at thee!”
Percival started to attack, only to be blown away by a sudden shock of air. Mox walked closer to the weakened paladin, his sword leveled to run him through. Suddenly, a series of fireballs ripped into Mox’s back, knocking the black mage to the ground. Percival stood again and raised his sword, only to be paralyzed in horror.
Mox climbed back to his feet. “You got lucky, paladin. We will meet again.” The mage ran off, as Percival suddenly regained his ability to move. He looked through the forest, and saw two figures moving through the mist.
Deep within a scorching desert, Belladonna stood before a large dune. She raised her hand, and shimmers of black light emerged from beneath the sand. “Darkness that rules all, chaos that binds all, restore these energies to one being.”
The black lights flew out of the sand and merged together in a ball of light. Vaguely human-like features appeared and vanished in the being at random intervals, as it strained to speak. “Who…are…you?”
“I am Belladonna, the Queen of Evil,” said Belladonna. “And you are Nyarlathotep, who was destroyed several months ago.”
“I…remember…”
“I see not enough of your once-powerful essence remains. Come, feel my power. Feel my evil.”
“Yes…I…can…taste…it.” The orb started to transform again, transforming into a demonic shape, like that of a gargoyle. “Yes! It is power! I am stronger than I ever was!”
“And my power is nothing compared to that of my master, Naar,” said Belladonna. “Come, join us, and we shall show you more chaos than you can imagine.”
“Do you take me for a fool!” said Nyarlathotep. “I serve no one!”
“You will submit,” said Belladonna, “or Naar himself will destroy you…like he did the other gods.”
"He…destroyed the heavens?’ Nyarlathotep was obviously impressed. “Very well. I will see how this turns out.”
Deep within Naar’s castle, the dark god’s forces were in the midst of celebration. Drinking, fighting, and various other evil forms of entertainment were everywhere, as the troops celebrated their victory over the gods.
In his own chambers, Naar was having a private celebration with Loki and Val. The two gods held their wine goblets high, while Val stood in the back. “I must thank you for your hospitality,” said Loki. “It is not often that other gods treat me like this.”
“You have earned this honor,” said Naar. “Your victory over Odin was a crippling blow to the gods. They will not be a threat any longer.”
“If you need any more of my services, I shall be here,” said Loki.
Naar laughed. “That’s why I invited you back here! I am well-versed in your reputation, trickster. I don’t allow traitors to survive longer than needed.”
Loki looked slightly shocked. “I see. You decided to betray me already. Funny, I though it would take a bit longer.”
“Be silent, fool!” shouted Naar. “Just accept your death like a true god!”
“I think not,” said Loki. He threw the wine from his goblet into Naar’s face, then threw a small device at the ground. A blinding flash of light resulted, incapacitating Naar. When it dissapeared, both Loki and Val were gone.
The hellhound finished eating his cookie. “There, now that’s done with, I must kill you.”
“Don’t you have anything better to do?” said Poke. “Like, maybe contacting your former master to get your ass out of here?”
“…For a mortal, you sure have a good idea,” said the hellhound. It ran outside, and came back in with a metal drum filled with oil and trash. He threw a lit match in, and the drum was filled with intense flames. The dog began chanting in an inhuman tongue, and the flames were suddenly filled with life.
“I am Lucifer, King of Hades!” said the flames. “Who has summoned me?”
“It’s me, master!” shouted the hell hound. “Please help me get back to Hades!”
The flames flickered for a minute, then bursted with laughter. “Let YOU back in Hades? A chibified demon like you? Never! HAW HAW HAW!” The flames dissapeared, as the hell hound looked on in mortal terror.
“Aw, did you hear that?” said kiro. “Now I can keep you!” She grabbed the dog in a huggle.
“This…can’t…be…happening!” said the demon dog.
“I know!” said kiro. “I’ll call you Rio!”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
THE END OF PART 8
Well, more random plotlessness. Who saved Percival from certain doom? Where have Loki and Val gone? What of Naar’s new general? What did the book say? And when will Galloway apologize for his lack of Middle English skills? Stay tuned for the next episode!
The mind boggles! Good stuff.
It seems only fair that the dark and brooding antihero catches the attention of the female and steadfastly ignores her until she confesses openly her deep and undying love for him, at which point he reveals he doesn’t wear his truesilver ring on his ring finger for nothing. =D
V’s like a daughter to me, so that wouldn’t work. And F. galloway is probably too young for me. I was thinking more along the lines of Belladonna. Hey, you know Naar is gonna betray her love sooner or later. And I’m not too proud to pick her on the rebound. ;D
(Kidding aside, anyone remembers the first version of my character, back in the Tower of Babel days? I was quite the Ladies’ Man, and even romanced a villainess from LUNAR: THE SILVER STAR STORY!) :ah-ha!:
Heey, Nyarl’s back! Looks like d is bringing EVERYONE’S arch-enemies for the Final Battle! Should’ve expected that. Cool work!
BTW, your story not only made me laugh, it made me feel better after reading a lot of dreary stuff, in RPGC and elsewhere. From now on, I’m saving it for last, so I can go to bed smiling. Thanks, d!
What an awesome episode, D! I had a thought that I was going to take a beating, but I was not sure when it was coming. Heh… Paladins of Dungeons and Dragons actually have a special ability which makes them permanently immune to fear and terror, but whatever…I just assumed that Mox could override this since he is like a god.
And do not worry about getting my archaic idiom right. If you really want me to correct you, I can, but I can figure out what you are trying to say anyhow.
In any case, good show.
This rocks!
YAY FOR RIO!
Oh, and how did I know the fourth dude would be Nyarl?
By the psychic powers of catgirl goodness!
Oh, and nice part.
Huzzah for Rio. ‘n’ stuff.
The worst part about being a shapeshifter is that I can’t complain about not being in the story, 'cos I don’t know if I am yet!
You just had to go and revive Nyarl, didn’t you d?
Good move! Should make things a bit more interesting, at the very least.
Interesting. To say the least.
I wonder how my character will be introduced?
Without pride nor regret. Well … no regret on d’s part, anyway. In the short term, that is.
The Final Saga part 9: The Alliance
By d_Galloway
Percival rose to his feet, his sword drenched in his own blood. His vision began to clear, as the shadows approached him.
The first shadow turned out to be a young, tall black mage. He wore a shadowy straw hat, black robes, and a ninja outfit underneath. He wielded a golden staff, with a phoenix as a headpiece. The second shadow was a young girl. She had red hair, which matched her red cloak perfectly. Her face was shadowed, while her height and busts revealed her age to be around fifteen.
“You are fortunate we came,” said the black mage. “If Mox has truly returned, we shall need all the help we can find.”
“Thou art correct,” said Percival. “But, who are you?”
“That is of no concern right now,” said the black mage. “We must return to RPG Town. All of existance is in danger.”
“I have seen this is true,” said Percival. “Very well, we shall depart at once.”
From a branch, a falcon watched the three depart from the forests. It had seen everything, from the moment Percival and Mox had fought, to when the three companions had departed. It flew to the ground, and transformed into a human, complete with some light armor and a pair of longswords. It grabbed a communicator from its pocket.
“This is Arac,” he said. “They are leaving the sight.”
“Very good,” said the communicator. “Return to the guild at once. TrkJac out.”
“Do not worry, Galloway,” said Lone Wolf. “You can still transform into a Kai Lord.”
“That’s not important,” said Galloway. “That form is useless against anything but Naar. Being a SSJ was the only useful form I had.”
“Please stop your self-loathing for a minute,” said Kai. “We need you to return to RPGC as soon as possible.”
“Naar has just removed one of his own generals,” said Lone Wolf. “This means he has found a much more powerful one as a replacement.”
“Or perhaps his former general was too powerful,” said Kai. “After Mox betrayed him, he most likely will not keep anyone around that could pose a threat.”
“Anyway, we have a plan,” said Lone Wolf. “We need you to return, locate this former general, and either kill them or enlist them.”
“Rio!” shouted kiro. “It’s time for your bath!”
“Will you stop tormenting that poor thing?” said Mitchell. “I’m surprised it’s still alive after what you’ve done to it.”
“Don’t worry,” said kiro. “I’m not planning to redress him anytime soon. I just want to get some of that brimstone off.”
“Did we ever figure out its gender?” asked Poke.
“It’s a boy,” said kiro. “Believe me.”
Rio ran out into the streets, and right into F. Galloway’s arms. “YOU GOTTA HELP ME! SHE’S NUTS! SHE’S GONNA KILL ME!”
“Well, this is new,” said F. Galloway. “You rarely run into such a cute chibified hell hound.”
“That’s right,” said demigod. “Hell hounds are usually scary and torturous.”
“Let’s bring him back inside,” said Weiila. “I’m sure the little guy will be happier in there.”
They started back inside, while Rio started struggling. “What is it that will buy you? Power? I can get that for you! Money? Credit? Name it! NAME IIIIIIIIIIIT!”
Loki and Val arrived at a large clearing, on the outskirts of RPGC. “We’re far enough from Naar now, my dear,” said Loki. “No one will ever find us here.”
“Hello.”
Loki turned, and saw Galloway, now in Kai Lord form, staring at him. His eyes were narrowed, his gaze piercing, as he saw Val standing next to him. “I see you have my wife, who’s supposed to be dead.”
Loki simply grinned. “Naar gave her to me as a gift. I’m sorry if she was yours, but she’s mine now.”
“Do you still work for Naar?”
Loki shook his head. “Not since that bastard turned on me. If I hadn’t been expecting an attack, I would be dead now.”
“So you work against Naar now?”
“I guess you could say that,” said Loki. “So, what are you?”
“I am d Galloway, of the Order of the Kai,” said Galloway. “I have a proposal for you. Why don’t we work together on this?”
Loki looked thoughtful for a second, then grinned. “Very well. Three of us would stand a better chance than two.”
THE END OF PART 9
Has Loki truly mended his ways? Who are Arac and TrkJac, and what is this guild? Will Rio ever get a break? Stay tuned for…something.
Loki definitely hasn’t mended his ways. But he’s clever enough to see that Galloway will at least be useful for awhile.
And dammit, I better return to normal after this!
