The Final Saga

I definately have to agree that the God, was Loki. It just makes sense. Since he is the only one that might want revenge against RPGC, for what we did a couple of years ago.

But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, right?

Naar! Naar Naar Naar Naar Naar Naar Naar! What? Shadow=Naar.
Yeah, great part Gallow.

The Final Saga part 3: Failed Rescue
By d_Galloway

“YOU KILLED VAL?!”

Glenton slowly backed away from the seething Weiila. F. Galloway tried desperately to fly the helicopter while also reading the instruction manual, while Galloway flew nearby, holding a small palm pilot. Finally, he pointed to a small island, and both he and the chopper started descending.

Two grey-skinned, black-toothed, maniac-eyed monsters stood on a castle balcony, scanning the land in front of them for signs of life. Suddenly, they caught sight of the landing chopper. Grunting to each other in a strange, indecipherable language, they ran inside the castle.

Weiila, Glenton and F. Galloway jumped out of the chopper, as Galloway slowly landed. Galloway checked the palm pilot again. “She should be inside that large, conspicuous castle.”

“…Remind me why we’re doing this again,” said Glenton.

Galloway sighed. “We’re trying to get Val’s lifeless body out here, then have Weiila revive her. Then she’s probably gonna kill you, and I’ll give her that damn Garfield.”

“Sounds like a plan,” said F. Galloway. “Just remember, Glenton owes me fifteen bucks when this is over.”

“Let’s just stay quiet, okay?” said Galloway. “We need to get inside before we get-” A bunch of heavy clubs smacked them unconcious.

When Galloway came to, he was inside what looked like a large throne room. The walls, ceiling and floor were made of polished black stone and metal, the throne itself adorned with human skulls and long-decaying body parts. Weiila, Glenton and F. Galloway were placed in a semicircle in front of him, their hands and feet bound, their eyes betraying their confusion. Galloway tried to stand, but he was tied up as well.

A bell rang, and several cloaked figures entered the room, their heads bowed deep in their black hoods. The woman from before took her seat on the throne, her hidden eyes burning into Galloway.

“You have trespassed on my land,” she said. “You have no right to be here.”

“We came here for Valkyrie Esker,” said Galloway. “Where is she?”

“She’s dead, remember?” The woman was obviously amused. “She still has her uses, however. I WAS able to complete the ritual my dear husband had started so long ago.”

“…Wait a minute,” said Weiila. “This sounds oddly familiar.”

“As it should,” said the woman. “You know who I am.”

“Damnit!” snapped F. Galloway. “Just drop the mystery act and get on with it!”

“…I feel out of the loop,” said Glenton.

“There’s no need for such formalities,” said the woman. “You’re about to die-”

The entire castle suddenly started to shake. The woman was thrown against the throne, which was then thrown against the wall. One of the robed figures dropped a nearby sword, which conveniently cut through Weiila’s ropes. She quickly grabbed the weapon and finished cutting everyone else free as the shaking intensified.

A thunderous sound erupted from the front of the castle. Parts of the massive gate flew through the walls, as the rest of the castle started to crumble. Not taking another moment, the heroes quickly jumped out a window.

And plummetted five stories into icy water.

The woman climbed back to her feet as the shaking suddenly stopped. Her eyes slowly climbed up to a tall, shadowy figure before her, accompanied by a tall guy that had been in a sauna for too long. The figure emerged from the shadows, and the woman was suddenly seized with joy.

“My love,” she said, “you are alive! But…But I thought-”

“No, Belladonna,” said the figure, his eyes never leaving her. “I am alive, as I have always been. But come, we have much to do.”

“Yes,” said Belladonna. “We have much to plan…much to destroy…”

“The world shall know,” said the figure. “They shall learn that NAAR, THE GOD OF EVIL, LIVES AGAIN!”

THE END OF PART 3
Gasp! What horror is this? Is Naar truly back from the dead? And what of Valkyrie Esker? And the others, now inside the freezing ocean? Stay tuned for next time, when NONE of these questions shall be answered!

I ROCK! Dooda, dooda!
Anyway, cool.

Well, I thought that it was not Loki, but I know nothing of Naar yet, so this is exciting!

Do you normally called the Devil Lucifer? I have always called him Lucifer when he was still an angel, and Satan after his rebellion and condemnation to Hell. Part of it for me has to do with what the two names mean. I am just curious.

I probably won’t update this tonight (my other fics need loving, too), and since I have a half-hour to kill (not enough to update any of my other fics), I’ll give you a general preview for the next update:

  1. Naar reveals HOW he fucking survived being blown apart.
  2. Val’s fate is revealed (and let’s just say, I’m glad she’s not reading this right now).
  3. The first appearance of some more RPGCers.
  4. A new character is quasi-introduced (in that he doesn’t actually appear). Take a look at part 2 and try to pick it out.

Perc: I really never distinguish between the two. I actually prefer the term “devil,” but it’s too vague a term to be used in a story. Besides, I think Lucifer sounds cooler than Satan.

Wil: I don’t follow comics anymore. The last actual non-japanese comic I read was Watchmen, and that’s only because I heard how great it was. And it was indeed great; depressing, but great.

And remember when I said this would be serious? That sure as hell died fast.

NO idea who Naar is, I’ll just have to find out though…

Anyway, cool chappie!

Same here. Keep it up.

I was going to say something about that until I saw your post. The point of serious loss is probably when the clubs came down.

Go read his old stories to find Naar. They’re in the archive…

Yep, so much for seriousness. I probably wouldn’t be able to say “this will be serious” with a straight face.

Heh… no worries, d… its hard to be serious with RPGC, anyway. If its even possible.

Though, I seriously think Val should stay dead this time… what’s your price?

PC: Excuse me? What about MY RPGC stories?

In any case, d, your combination of silliness and action is what sets your stories apart. It only makes sense that you continue your style for the Epic End.

Just let me have SOME booty this time, OK!?

As for comics today, frankly you’re not missing much. The problem is, everybody wants to be the next Watchmen, but they copy the grittiness, and fail to innovate like it did. -_-

I know you are referring to your Christmas stories, Wil, but even you have to admit its hard to keep a straight face when writing about a huge group of lunatics.

=D

Wonder who is going to take the stage next? Always wanted to see “me” in one of these.

Except in my stories, we’re NOt a group of lunatics. We’re HEROES.

Most of us, anyway. ^^

LUNATIC heroes.

Yes.

and, even your stories have funny parts Wil.

The Final Saga part 4: The One Between Dimensions
By d_Galloway

Naar, Belladonna and the tall guy entered a large atrium, filled to the brim with black vines and plants emitting noxious fumes. On a stone altar, tied by vines and chains, was Valkyrie Esker’s body. The tall guy walked past Naar and approached the altar, his eyes filled with a mixture of joy and shock. “A valkyrie? Where did you find one of them?”

“It is of no concern of yours,” said Belladonna. “She has served her purpose. Her body must be disposed of.”

“Patience, Belladonna,” said Naar. “This is Loki, one of our new associates. He will be vital in the next phase of our plan.” Loki didn’t even dignify that with a comment; he simply admired the death valkyrie.

Wilfredo Martinez walked along RPGC’s main street, scanning everyone and everything with a small device. Finally, he reached the RPGC Police Department, where Poke and Mitchell were busy doing absolutely nothing.

Wil quickly slipped inside, only to have a gun pointed to his face by Mitchell. “Relax, beer-boy,” said Poke. “Wil hasn’t gone evil, last I checked.”

Wil continued scanning, the device getting louder and louder with every passing second. “What the hell is that?” asked Mitchell.

“It’s a dimension-finder,” said Wil. “It’s supposed to find breaks in the space-time contiuum, allowing for easy fixing.”

“…Uh, Wil?” said Poke. “I know you’re obsessed with this ‘Multiverse’ idea, but you’re kinda interrupting our lack of work, so if you don’t mind-”

“There’s a hole here!” said Wil. “It seems to be coming from the basement!”

“But…how did you survive?” asked Belladonna.

“You should already know,” said Naar. “Did you think a mere Trigger spell could destroy me?”

“But-But the Sommerswerd! It was impaled inside you! It was the only weapon that could destroy you!”

“Think, my queen! Yes, the Sommerswerd was all that fool had to destroy me, but its strength wasn’t enough. When Galloway channeled energy into the blade, it was Ki, not magic.”

“Of course! The Trigger spell only works on magical energies! But, what of the explosion?”

“Yes, I was greatly damaged, but not completely destroyed. Enough of my power was left to return to the Plane of Darkness. There, I was able to bathe in the power of the Doomstones, and I rebuilt myself within a year. The rest of the time until now was spent increasing my power, until I was able to leave the Plane of Darkness.”

“…I thank you, my love, for giving me this knowledge,” said Belladonna. “But, what of the valkyrie?!”

“Loki,” said Naar. “I have a proposal.”

Loki turned to the dark god, his gaze broken from Esker for the first time. “I’m sorry, but I’m afraid I’m already spoken for.”

“No, you fool,” said Naar. “I have a business proposition. The valkyrie you see before you is named Robyn, and was one of the most powerful valkyries. Until her death, that is.”

“Obviously,” said Loki. “Judging from her body, she was an adept spearwoman. What of it?”

“I will make you two promises if you aid me,” said Naar. “First, I shall promise you the blood of Odin. Second, I will give you this girl as a slave.”

Loki looked back at the valkyrie. “A slave? But, how? She’s already dead!”

Naar raised his hand, and black energies erupted from his arm and flowed to Val. After about ten seconds, the chains and vines retreated, and Val slowly rose, her breath gone, her eyes dead and lifeless.

“She lives, and she is dead,” said Naar. “She will obey your every command, but will forever be mute and soulless.”

Loki looked at the valkyrie. She merely looked back, as if a lifeless doll. “I like it, Naar. I accept your offer.”

Glenton was the first to come to the surface, followed by Weiila, then Galloway, and finally F. Galloway. Gasping for air, they swam towards a jutting rock and climbed on.

“Well, that didn’t go well,” said Galloway. “We’ll need to return to RPGC and regroup.”

“What?!” gasped Weiila. “But…by then Val’s body will be completely comatose. I can’t bring back someone THAT dead, Gallo.”

“Fine by me,” said Glenton. “We should just worry about getting out of here, then go back and kick that sorceress’ ass!”

A bright searchlight suddenly flashed in the distance, followed by the roaring of a boat engine. F. Galloway ripped Glenton’s jacket off and started waving it around like a maniac. When the boat arrived, Glenton had F. Galloway in near-submission.

The group readily jumped on board. “Thanks for the lift,” said Weiila. Then she recognized the driver. It was a human, with long brown hair, blue eyes, and a slim build, but she knew who it was. It was demigod, former blue Big Bird and all-around lackey. Beside him was a man, with long black hair, a black robe, a completely black bunch of accessories, pale skin, and a runed ring on his left ring finger. Before they could ask who this was, the boat was already heading back to RPGC.

The basement of the police station was a dark, dank dungeon, complete with long-abandoned jail cells, mold-covered walls, leaking water pipes, and lots of other long-neglected stuff. In one corner of the first room was a small cot, complete with porno mags and lots of Poke balls.

“…Uh, this is my room,” said Poke. “You try finding an apartment on a policeman’s salary.”

“Fine, fine,” said Wil. The device grew ever louder, before finally blaring off at a far wall. Wil quickly set a small microphone on the wall and started listening through some headphones. “Just as I thought. The wall between dimensions is weak here. Something’s calling out.”

“That’s nice,” said Mitchell. “Now can we get back to REAL work?”

“Listen to this,” said Wil. He handed Poke and Mitchell another pair of headphones. All they could hear through the static were the words, “Help…me…Help…me…”

“Whoa, this is interesting,” said Poke. “Too bad we’re not opening any portals today. The last thing we need is you opening a portal to Hell and destroying us all.”

Naar peered into the fountain’s black water, watching the fools fiddle around in the police station. “If I heard correctly, Lucifer sent one of his pets to the Cleft. Let’s see what happens…”

The wall in front of Wil was suddenly enveloped in a purplish-gray light. A half-circle appeared at the base of the wall, swallowing half of it in an orgy of lightning and destruction. From within, a strange shape began to take place.

“…Wait a minute,” said Poke, recognition suddenly seizing him. “RUN, BEFORE IT COMES!”

But it was too late.

THE END OF PART 4
demigod and the mysterious stranger are now leaving for RPGC, with Galloway’s group in tow. But what of Wil, Poke and Mitchell, trapped before a horrifying beast? And what of Valkyrie Esker, now a slave to the trickster Loki? Stay tuned next time, same Gallo-time, same Gallo-channel!

I liked that part the best. =P Good stuff, keep it up.

On a sort of related note, the little ring detail is based off an actual ring I wear. It’s made of silver and it’s pretty and has strange markings. I got it in 8th grade for Christmas and haven’t stopped wearing it since. My finger has literally grown into it, there’s a groove where it fits perfectly. I have a couple pictures but I don’t want to kill anyone out there that has 56k, so if you want to see it here’re a couple links.

Side A

Side B

I think the star is supposed to be the star of protection. However, it could be misinterpreted as demonic and I have some religious friends, so I wear it facing down and the swirly design facing up. If you look close you can see the designs on the ring are on a separate band. I can spin it around independent of the part that my finger’s actually in contact with. It’s pretty neat.
