The economy

The US offers Israel ‘guarenteed loans’. What does this mean?; every single one of us who works pays for Israel’s maintenance due to the North Atlantic Free Trade Agreement; what the USA pays , Canada pays (Mexico too). Is this fair?, no, some might even say Israel are leeches. (not trying to spread hate)

Do we really need to support a nation founded on secrecy and deceit?, does our army pay with their lives for a zionist war?. american blood stains the desert red, and why?. To better put my point across, the appointed chief of staff has dual isaraeli-american citizenship.
Anyway what do you guys think of this issue?.

I rather like Israel. As far as free societies go, it’s got to be supported. Bad location. Yeah, Palestinians were displaced, but they refuse to deal with the reality of an Israel that’s around to stay. Israel needs to reign in its own expansionists, then just surround itself with no-man’s land.

I think we shouldn’t base our support or lack of support of Israel on its founding. Israel’s founding was bloody and involved mass migrations, but you’d be surprised how many nations in the 20th century were formed under similar circumstances.

Guaranteed Loans??? WTF??? With what money. The money that our government continues to borrow from the Central Bank therefore putting our country and the working class in deeper shit? You (not directing this at anyone)do realize that with the $700 billion wall street bailout there was enough money to make every single taxpaying American a millionaire with $500 billion to spare. That would have been the boost our economy needed. Everyone would consume, there would be a shitload of jobs created by those who quit their jobs, etc. But our government is as cheap as HMOs and the Cincinnati Bengals when it comes to the working class…

but I digress from the original topic. As for Israel, I’m personally not too fond of them or their policies, but there isn’t shit I can do about it. But to be honest…wasn’t this a country founded on bloody and mass migrations? The fact is that Human nature revolves around a very vicious circle. We’re burning in the melting pot. HELP ME DOG!!! HELP ME JEBUSS!!!

As for the Israeli Army, I have seen hardcore fucked up videos of them brutally policing Palestinian children on theync.com.

I apologize if my swearing is offensive.

I don’t get it :enguard: And the founding of Israel isn’t simple enough to just say one side was bad and the other good. I would say that Israel’s current policies certainly aren’t immoral; unfortunately, they’re a necessity. (except for the “settlement” movements, but those have largely been dismantled)

True. It is shrouded in mysteries. No one will ever know who’s right or wrong between Israel and Palestine. There’s definitely two sides to this coin. I still don’t think we should be giving them money. That’s kinda ridiculous. Israel is not a poor nation by any means. Like I said about Iraq…there goes America putting their nose in other people’s business…yet again. This world is seriously fucked. Every country is now starting to resemble the third world. 90 percent of the world’s wealth is in 10 percent of the population. There’s something wrong with that. I do know why we support the Zionist agenda as a nation. Many of our bankers and what not are descended from Israeli people. I’m not saying they’re right or wrong. What I am saying is that hope is starting to become a lost cause. It’s less about Israel vs. Palestine and such and the bigger issue is that America is taking a shit on the working class. That is the main economic issue that concerns me. I could go back to work on Monday and find out I’m getting laid off.

As far as I can see about the Israel situation, it looks like both sides believe they’re right and are refusing to come to a somewhat rational compromise.

That would be a weird experiment in economics. Inflation would rise (huge demand, less supply), imports would rise, workers would leave their jobs like flies (why work in a Wal*Mart if you can afford not to?), there’d be probably enough migration from the country to cheap places and when the extra wealth handed out was diminished the economy would be more problematic. Something like the way lottery winners can’t hold on to their winnings, on a national scale.

You are right that the working class isn’t too high on anyone’s plans, but just distributing that money doesn’t sound like a plan.

edit: Math+extended NYE=does not compute.

Dizzy, $700 billion divided by 300 million (US population) = $2,333, if you are using the short scale billion (1,000,000,000). But if you are using the long scale billion a la old Britania, then it’s a different story. 1,000,000,000 - Wikipedia

Welcome back, btw

I expect Obama to unveil some kind of a stimulus package targeting individual taxpayers that would exceed substantially what Bush had unloaded in 2008.
