That was "Incredible"...!

So yeah, I am still getting over how awesome “The Incredibles” was… I would describe it, but anything less than Incredible (with a capital “I”) would be an insult…

The writing, the animation, the pacing, the everything… Incredible…

Go see it now.

I would go see it but as it turns out I despise disney for making all those crappy sequils to there good movies. I mean cinderela 2? WTF!!

But even so I’ll probably end up having to take my little brother to see it. :moogle:

Dude, Disney has little to nothing to do with Pixar aside from a partnership, all the work was pixars and the movie is NOT a “kids” movie.

People should become more educated about american animation, pixar movies are the best 3d animated movies on the market and this makes thier 4th blockbuster… thats a 100% track record people, NO COMPANY has had a 100% track of blockbuster movies, eat your fucking heart out dreamworks and square…

I do believe this is their 6th blockbuster then. Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc and Ice Age.

Assuming The Incredibles becomes a blockbuster, which I think it will. It looks hilarious.

Anyway, I really want to see this movie; I didn’t know it had come out already.

I want to see it. I may get to tomorrow.

Pixar and Disney are no longer working together

Really?

I want to see the movie a lot. Violet looks like she’ll rock. Does she rock? Huh, huh, huh?! ?_?

DIE PUNS! DIE!

Oh well in that case I wanna go see it. :moogle:

I’m watching THIS movie in a theater even if my family (yet AGAIN) finds it in bootlegs. I miss going to a movie theater and enjoying a good movie.

I haven’t seen it either. This movie looks interesting and cool.
I WANT to see it. :bowser:

I think Pixar and Disney must still have some sort of partnership, as there was a big ‘Walt Disney’ logo plastered on the screen before the movie started with Pixar’s logo. Of course I’m not aware of the specifics, I did hear something to the effect of Disney letting Pixar go… but there still must be some collaberation.

Anyway, yes, the movie was awesome. Like all of Pixar’s stuff. Not just ‘kids stuff’, their movies have a much broader appeal. Even ignoring Disney’s sequelitus, their new ‘original’ stuff can’t compare to what Pixar is putting out.

Just saw the movie. Great stuff.

I am such a Pixar fan! I saw the movie today, and I enjoyed it so much. However, there was this chick reserving an entire row in the best spot for her kid’s party when she only needed about half of it. Good grief.

Also, Pixar didn’t do Ice Age - I think that was associated with Dreamworks somehow? Pixar did do A Bug’s Life, though.

That was what it was. I knew it was some animal movie.

Disney and Pixar are still togather, If infact, Disney and Pixar are going to sepperate, it will be after the next movie, “Cars”.

The Disney logo was on the advertisement for Cars as well as being on the Incredibles, so yes, Disney is still in a partnership with Pixar.

I really want to go see this movie. I’ve seen every pixar film in theatres. Unfortunately, everyone in my family is broke. ;.;

I saw it today. The costume lady was the best character, but Violet was pretty bad-ass.

Still not seen the movie. I need a ride. But I’ll WALK to the theater if I have to, you can bet on it!! > <

Meanwhile, here’s some fun facts about the movie (No spoilers) :

-The movie was written and directed by Brad Bird, the same guy who directed THE IRON GIANT. Also a SIMPSONS writer.

-Although they haven’t admitted it, the main characters are obviously inspired by the Fantastic Four (currently also in production as a Live Action movie.) Incredible = Fantastic, the costumes are similar, and, except for Dash, they have all the same powers! However, the characters themselves are different, so it’s no blatant rip-off.

-Stars the voices of: Craig. T Nelson (“Coach”) as Mr. Incredible, Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, Samuel Jackson as Frozone, and Jason Lee (“Clerks”) as the villain.

-Other voice acting surprises: Bird provides the voice of Edna Mode (!!) and social writer Sarah Vowell provides the voice for Violet, in her first voice acting work ever. Wonder what convinced her to take the part?

-They were almost unable to use the name “Elastigirl” as there is already an (obscure) DC comics character named that. They almost changed it to Mrs. Incredible, but seem to have arranged something with DC.

-Pixar is indeed no longer part of Disney; the latter has decided that they can make their own CGI movies (and have fired a LOT of their long-time animators in favor of CGI experts). I’m not sure if 'Incredibles" is the last movie produced under their mutual name, or if the contract also covers “Cars.” (In my opinion, Disney is making a BIIIIG mistake, as it’s the WRITING, not the CGI FX, that has made the Pixar movies (so far) instant classics.

More comments later.

I’m going to go see this with a friend of mine sometime soon.
