Introducing Kamina, Mwu La Fraga Hotblood Version.
I don’t like judging shows until I’ve seen enough of them, and commenting on a series quality after only one episode goes against most of my better judgment, but if this keeps up even a fraction of this chapter’s animation quality and awesomeness, this can easily be just about one of the greatest shows ever.
It’s got something to do with mecha… and massive space fights may or may not play a role. Still, go watch this now.
Kamina is the most awesome character since Gai Shishio and TTGL is the most awesome show since Code Geass GO WATCH IT OKAY

And he saw it was FUCKING GOOD.
Checked it out myself with the later half of the thrid episode, and all I can say is DAMMMNN!! Best part of the episode was when the red mech punches the white mech’s face, pulls off it’s helmet, and puts it on its own head at which point the helmet transforms into a part of the red mech. My only concern about the show is how badly will it get Gainax’d at the end.
Btw, why is Ryu from BoF; Dragon Quarter here?
Haven’t seen the third episode yet, but if you are talking about the blonde guy, I think he looks a lot more like Bosch to me.
So, who else thinks Kamina is gonna kick the bucket at some point? The guy on the opening segment of the first chapter is pretty sure to be a grown up Simon, and the fact that he’s wearing Kamina’s cape isn’t looking good for him.

I thought the best scene was just a bit before that when Kamina takes Simon’s mech and slams onto the head of his own, ‘combining’ the two and ‘doubling’ their power. That cracked me up for a while.
