I capitalize for effect, just like a lot of people online do. I guess you people just read the words with a different emphasis than I write them. Anyway, it’s part of my personal style by now, so don’t expect me to stop.

The comics I grew up with only had bold, not capitalised words. I’m more used to that. To me it seems you shout your emphasised words. Which, I guess fits with emphasising them.

I have always thought Aquaman is a pompous little bastard, especially after he lost a hand. Get over it, dude. There’s a war going on.

Merl: You ever heard The Bloodhound Gang’s song, “I Hope you Die?” Whoa, now that’s a way to express hate- but in such a creative way, I actually enjoy it! 
As for Aquaman, he wasn’t a jerk, they MADE him a jerk (and cut his hand off) in an effort to make him “Badass” and sell his comics better. You see, people have always felt Aquaman is lame, since his Super Friends days. However, DC is stuck with him because he’s one of their best-known heroes. (C’mon, how many DC heroes do you think the average person can remember, outside of Superman and Batman?) So they keep trying to reinvent him. I never liked Harpoon-Hand Aquaman, for the record.
Outside of Supes and Bats, I think people can probably remember Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, and maybe Green Lantern. Despite Supes, Bats, and to a lesser extent Wonder Woman being ingrained as pop icons, DC just can’t really seem to compete with Marvel in terms of widely known superheroes. That definitely isn’t helped by Marvel’s growing movie empire.

I mean, I know he was popular among some comic book fans for a while in the 90’s, but we’re talking AVERAGE people here. Marvel’s Punisher is probably better known.
