Well now I do.

And knowing is half the battle.

But that’s another revived cartoon for another time.

O_O…

HEck, Paulie Provenzano was invincible, but you could still faze him with a flurry of punches (Superspeed-possessing person like Northstar) or you could toss him above the atmosphere and he’d suffocate…

So… how do you hurt him? By making him watch soap operas? Would drowning him in a bucket of Jello work?

Dante is not invincible.
If he was, then we wouldn;t get wounded by baddies.

He’s like Inu Yasha, getting Stabbed through the chest wont kill him but he can die.

Well, if he was invincible in the game, then it would be no fun, right?

You can kill him by cutting of his head? Maybe?

I doubt Dante is invinible.
He can get killed, how ever it takes more then just being impaled.

Well, we could say he is like Spawn or the Highlander.

Yeah, that’d work.

So who’d win in a fight? Spawn or the Highlander?

(You don’t know that <.<)

Yes I do, but then again, I am a Dante Fanboy >_>

Alright, so lets get some organization back in here. Lets see, somebody name a match up, a new one, that would be easily debateable instead of something obvious. Im not sure which to choose but I dont care. Someone put some order back in this thread

Lets see, lets see…

I call for The Hulk VS Solomon Grundy

Hmm. The madder the Hulk gets, the Stronger he gets. Technically, his strenght is infinite, given enough time to keep getting angry.

Solomon Grundy, on the other hand, is undead. Still, my money’s on the Hulk.

As for suggesting matches: How about the one I mentioned? Superman vs Thor? Let’s see if we can agree without flaming each other to death (like they’re doing in the DC boards!) :hahaha;

Well let us review the fighters:

Abilities
Dr. Bruce Banner is a genius in nuclear physics. On the other hand, Hulk’s intelligence level depends upon the incarnation. For example, the Savage Hulk (Green Hulk), has low intelligence, comparable to that of a small child, although he has an undeniable cunning that aids him in battle. The Professor (Merged Hulk) has the same intelligence level as Bruce Banner. The Gray Hulk is pretty smart, but is not a genius like Banner.
Note: Banner’s consciousness always influences the Hulk’s form. Even when the Banner persona was suppressed by the Hulk’s form (Mindless Hulk), although in that case, to a very limited extent.

<left>-Quote taken from an Old Nursery Rhyme</left>

In 1894, the wealthy Cyrus Gold was attacked by a man named Jem, who wanted Gold’s money. Jem’s girlfriend Rachel Rykel, was a prostitute Gold had once bought services from, and the two had tried to blackmail Gold about it. When Gold refused to pay her, Jem severely injured him, took his money, and left the body to die in the murky heart of Gotham City’s Slaughter Swamp. In the moment before sinking under the mud, Cyrus Gold cursed his murderers and swore to God, he would somehow be revenged. Since the event soon became a legend, there have been many other versions of this story, but the main content is the same: Gold was killed and his body sunk into the swamp.

Over the next fifty years, Gold's skeleton lay at the swamp's bottom, accumulating decaying leaves, rotting wood, and other debris, and gradually formed into a gigantic creature that somehow imitated a strange form of pseudo-life. It has been speculated that this creature was destined to become an Earth Elemental, but that the process failed because one of the important ingredients of it was missing: fire. (About ten years later, nature arranged a more successful transformation, when scientist Alex Olsen was transformed into the first Swamp Thing, becoming the Earth Elemental of this era.)

Powers

[ul]
[li]Tremendous Strength (his strength fluxuates. Sometimes he can be held by a group of normal humans, on other occasions, even Superman has not been able to defeat him.)
[/li][li]Undead
[/li][li]Tremendous Stamina
[/li][li]Virtually indestructible - he is impervious to bullets, fire, and extreme cold, and can survive indefinitely without food, water, or oxygen.
[/li][li]Can absorb certain forms of energy and manipulate them at will.
[/li][/ul]

Superman and Thor? I would say Superman. In a gloves off fight. No kryptonite involved. Since all Superman needs to live is the earths sun, he could win because Thor, although goddy or whatever, I believe he can still die (although I dont read much thor books) Plus, me mate has a comic where Superman “dies” but as soon as someone opens his casket, he lives again because of the sun, and eventually is able to fight crime again.

I would also like to say that I think that Hulk could take Grundy. Just because Grundy is rather dumb, but I dunno. That is a good match up Giz.

I liked the Slingers (rico was the best), but it didn’t sell enough by no. 10 so Marvel threw the series project in the trashbin ;_;

As for DC… I miss Lord Manga and L-Ron >_<

Wow Ren, you like obscure characters, huh? (For those of you who don’t know, the Slingers were a team of heroes who picked up some costumed Identities that Spider-Man tried but didn’t keep. Odd idea, I know.)

As for Manga Khan… I could NEVER stand him. But if you want to see him, go read the Justice League Mini-series that Keith Giffen is putting out these days, I hear he shows up again.

Superman vs Thor: If Superman can use his superspeed in a fight, he WOULD win (imagine being hit by him 1000 times in a second!). BUT HE NEVER DOES! Even Solomon Grundy could hit him! Sheesh! This has NEVER been explained. Plus, Thor’s hammer can blast with magical power, and Supes always has trouble with magic, so… I give it to Thor.

Oh, but yes, Superman can regenerate (in the latest version, anyway) just not as fast as Wolverine. And Thor CAN die, just not from old age. But I doubt these two would fight to the death, they’re both heroes.

Yeah, I always found that weird.
He is faster then a speeding bullet, yet a slow golem like Grundy can lay punches on him.
Maybe Supes needs to concentrate to fly fast and during a fight he is to distracted to concentrate, but I dunno.

Yay ^^

A few quotes from the man and his loyal friend:

-I believe this would be the perfect world.
-What is its name?
-…
-L-Ron?
-…
-L-RON?
-I am making a dramatic pause, my lord.

-May I know why you are yelling so much?
-Sorry… That is a bad habit I’ve acquired.
-You dare highen your voice before the legendary… DR. VERMAN VUNDABAR?
-Did I shout out very loud?
-You did.
-Well, patience. As you know, Verman…
-DR.!
-As you know, Dr. Verman…
-DR. VUNDABAR!
-Bah, names are not important!
-You are right, Lord Mango.

-My lord… Our camuflage shields have been deactivated!
-What?
-I said our camuf…
-I know, you idiot! It was a retoric ‘what’!
-Oh, I see. Besides, our energetic units were destroyed.
-O_O WHAT?
