Street Fighter 2 HD Remix

Do it.

Bloody eu release dates and eu lack of capcom part in ps3 store…

I’d pay money for that if I had one of the platforms where it’s available. Wiiware release with classic gamepad support kthx. :frowning: :frowning:

ok

…Did the people at OC Remix REALLY do the soundtrack for this game?

Yes, but I don’t like it very much. The individual songs are nice, but most of them don’t make me feel like fighting.

Funny enough, I’m not running into any of you guys online :frowning:

Here’s a series of videos that can teach you how to play, if that’s what keeps you guys from trying:

http://www.sirlin.net/blog/2006/11/15/street-fighter-tutorial-videos.html

This is a set of video tutorials from the previous SF2 game, which is still played in tournaments. Even though this is a new game, none of the basic game mechanics have changed, so all the concepts that are talked about in these tutorials are relevant to the new SF2. The only thing in the entire tutorial that doesn’t apply to the new game is a very specific example in the Advanced Tutorial.

And to think that Street Fighter 2 was released for every console ever *sigh.

And here I was expecting a long-winded review, much like the rest of SG’s fares. Instead, I just get a “do it”

I take that as a good review.

It’s pointless. I’m the only one here who plays fighting games competitively, so I’d be speaking to the wrong crowd if I went on about that kind of shit. Just play it, jeez. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d play it if my connection would let me. :stuck_out_tongue: yay firewalls.

In another attempt to drum up interest in the game, here are some match videos recorded of me that I played earlier today:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPeqwRLwajg <— I’m the last match, playing as Chun-Li vs Thawk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlfuElPRMXI <— The only match on this video, I’m playing as Fei-Long vs Cammy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frsi8ix9au0 <— Last match, playing as Dee Jay vs Dhalsim. The guy quit recording after this because there’s a glitch online that makes the lifebars display incorrectly.

Overall, I played pretty bad in the first two, especially the Chun v Thawk match. Thankfully, my opponent messed up a lot, too, but the people I played were definitely no joke.

I’d find a way to mess with it, but I’ve been sick, and haven’t had any time to mess with my Wii. So…I may get around to playing with this eventually.

I play as Vega, and I’m about 200-150. On PSN.

So I got it a few days ago. What the hell has happened in 15 years? I can’t beat even the first opponent on EASY. All that area control crap can go to hell when the game punishes both offense and defense on all accounts. Any jumps or advancing forward = WHOOPS CAN’T LET YOU DO THAT and anything the opponent does ends up with a stun and a KO. Only way I get to “do” something is by standing still and the opponent usually graces me with one or two projectiles and not complete humiliation.

Okay, so I beat the first opponent (Fei Long) by spamming mediums and strongs. Way to go, now to get my arse kicked another dozen times by Chun Li…

(Goes back to mash SFA2 with Dan, where victory is in reach.)

What’s the problem, exactly?

Umm. I can’t win.

I meant more specifically. If you have the 360 version, you should friend me and I can try and help you. XBLA: Skankin Garbage

The creepiest thing about this picture is that I read somewhere her dad was the one with the camera.
