Strange problems with a digital camera...

I have a Fujifilm FinePix A205 digital camera. It’s a couple years old but it usualy works pretty well. But recently, for some reason, pictures I take with it get strangely blurry with even the slightest motion. To give an example:

This is a pic I took of a joust in-progress at a ren faire a couple months back. As you can probobly best, most of the participants were in constant motion. It’s a pretty clear picture, considering.

THIS is a picture of my cousin taken on Halloween. He’s standing as still as he can manage. If the picture is of someone who’s actually in motion, the picture becomes nigh-unrecognizable.

Does anyone here who may know a thing or two about cameras know what might be able to fix this, if anything?

Is your camera lens smudged? if so, just clean it with isopropanol

edit; you could always buy a tripod, and just take photos with ease.

Some cameras are hyper sensitive like that. I also noticed some settings like night picture settings, get blurrier more easily than others. Learn to not shake.

I know that some cameras are just hypersensitive. The thing is, it didn’t used to be. I’ll see if I can’t mess with the settings a tad. Will still appreciate feedback.

Turn the shutter speed up? The “blur” in the first picture looks more like you just have a cheap camera…but the second looks like it was exposed for too long.
