Part of me is still interested in SC2, but the rest of me knows that I’ll probably play it for a week and then go back to supcom.
Yes, precious, we’ve seen them trailers. Nasty Zergses, with mandibles of cold er… pain-inducing materials. By the way I’d be interested to see if Blizzard considered adding the Zerg-Toss hybrid but couldn’t balance the races out or if they didn’t even consider it.
They’re probably not gonna add a fourth race, since it’s gonna be hard enough balancing as it is. They’ve pretty much exaggereated every race.
Protoss brute-force spearhead tactics are better than ever since there are now mobile elements to deploying as well as three additional super siege weapons (although I’m going to miss the Reaver :P) Also they got the Scout and Corsair fused into one so there’s really not much to complain about.
Terrans have even more ground superiority now that they have a <i>cloaked, fast, splash-damage guardian</i> disguised as a Banshee as well as their Siege Tank and Thor superweapon. It’s a shame Turrets don’t detect anymore though. Guarding sensor towers is going to be a bitch. I hope Vikings are worth it though because it’s about time Terrans had something better than a shitty Wraith to deal with Mutalisks.
I can’t wait to see what new Zerg units they’ll come up with.
I don’t know if they’ll be included in the final cut, but I like the Nydus worms and Banelings shown in the gameplay video.
And a sentinel-like flying thing. Queen?
Any idea on the release date?
It’ll be 2-3 months of beta followed by a couple months for the CDs to get made and shipped and everything. That’s not even including the beta recruitment period. It’ll be a while. On top of that, I doubt Bliz will release it at the same time as the WoW expansion, which is probably in itself at least 6 months away.
And let’s not forget, Blizzard games get delayed.

Have you seen some of the abilities during the beta demos they took out? Like the Black Hole? It was pretty damn brutal.
That and the Protoss Soul Harvesters.
I’m so excited about the facat you can select more than 12 units now. Like, 36 or so.
They took out the black hole in favour of a structure cloaking field because it was too damn rigged, and I think the Soul Surfers or whatever they were got axed cause they were too damn <i>stupid</i>
