So much going on, and nobody saying "boo"...

Isn’t it clear?

One more FF1 remake, and I’m going to have to put on drag and perform the Sending in their parking lot.:hahaha;

(okay, maybe not. I don’t think I can afford transportation to LA(?), and I don’t think my family can afford bail.)

So much going on, and nobody saying “boo”…

Compendium’s forum is in a somewhat of hibernation, ever since Wallflower left. The dude was averaging at least one thread a week. The old-timers are “boycotting” the FFC, the new recruits are gun shy, and everybody in between - just sitting on their hands.
And after “dying on stage” withthis thread, and years of intensive psychotherapy, now I am doing only “sports” threads.

RE: The FFXIII film, it’s a likely outcome.

Pity, Seifer, I’d have replied to this :stuck_out_tongue:
How about FFEC? As in AC, BC, CC, DC…
The FFC’s forum has never been what you might call “booming”, except when a few newbies came in and started making “what is ur favorite ff” threads for three months straight.

Anyway, the new guys were just hired, so give them some time.

Huh?

FF3DS was originally for PS2?

No, they’re saying the remake was originally planned for PS2.

Isn’t that what I was saying?

Oh, right, gotcha.

You can add to the list of “so much going on” a new FF game (for PSP?) -Dissidia

It would be interesting to see what other/how much new material will be released at this weekend’s Square Enix Party 2007.

Hopefully the dissent in question will be interesting.

Might as well bring up The Last Remnant while we’re at it. What the hell it is? I don’t know. All I do know of it is that its going to be Unreal.

Dissidia looks really cool, just from the Amano art on the logo. A sort of good-and-evil montage, and the name is also intriguing. I’m already wavering on buying a PSP… this might help a lot. :sunglasses:

If its both good and original I’ll lean towards getting it. (especially since FFT:LW and Castlevaina Chronicles are on the same system) Though I’ll probably wait until next year to get it.

Btw, is that Shiva and Ifrit on Dissidia’s logo?

Could be. Hard to tell.

Huh? Why would they do that?

All I know is that I haven’t been posting much here (or elsewhere) because I’m up to my ears in work these days. I’m also way out of touch with what FF stuff is currently out or coming soon, I even have no idea what you guys are talking about in this thread. A FF13 movie? For real?

just sitting on their hands.

This quote has always made me laugh. Wouldn’t that be painful? Ouch! :stuck_out_tongue: Where’s it from?

Wil, about two years ago, when I used the same wording, Mr. Saturn came out of the shadows to dispel my totally out-of-scope theory. I guess that I was “fishing” again.

As for the FF13 film, it’s just a speculation, but after reading Toriama’s comments on FNC project, I would say a plausible one.

“In fact, the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII project isn’t just limited to three projects - there are many different aspects. In terms of the formats we’re reaching, as well, it’s not simply exclusive to the PS3 and mobile phones. In Latin Fabula Nova Crystallis means “New Crystal Story” and we’re using that as a basis for the project, but there are many characters and legends that are branching off from the main story and universe. It’s a huge project.”

DQ Joker and DQ Swords announced for North American release.

Wrong forum?
Well, so are FFT: War of the Lions, and FF12: Revenant Wings. But we could’ve seen that a mile away. :hahaha; Both sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.

YAYAYAYAYAY
I keep saying I’m going to buy an NDS and PSP but never get around to it (why should I, when I still have Tales of the Abyss to play and Xenosaga 3 to replay? That’ll take me another two months, easy).
Next time I go on a train or plane ride I’m going to grab a DS beforehand, definitely.

By the way, they had better let Alexander O. Smith loose on the Lion War. He could turn the story from laughable into unbelievable.
In Latin Fabula Nova Crystallis means “New Crystal Story”
Am I the only one who thinks of ORBS when I read this?

Now I am thinking about poor FF fans, especially of the hardcore variety, those for whom FF is almost an addiction – they just got to have/play all the games with a “FF” symbol – every sequel, prequel, spin-off, remake, or version created.
Square Enix made a perfect business decision - going multi-platform full blast with their famous strategy of “deploying polymorphic content”. But the FF addicts are taking a hit in the wallet. And Ichiro Otobe could be praised or blamed (depending on which side of seller/customer fence you stand) for this.
If you want to play all the FF games coming out lately, you got to go multi-platform: Wii is a must for Crystal Chronicles aficionados, NDS for all the remakes, PSP for Dissidia, Crisis Core, and maybe Before Crisis (?); if you want to watch Advent Children Complete, and play FFXIII and Versus XIII, in that case, PS3 should be added to your gaming hardware.

Edit: I forgot to mention that FFXIII and Versus are still PS3 exclusive, at least that is how it was presented at the S-E Party:
http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5612&Itemid=2

It’s for PS3 and only PS3, and there’s virtually zero percent chance of it coming to any other system.
