This game was really grim, but in a nice way as well. The graphics are pretty decent. I thought the cakes in the bakery looked good enough to eat. The only thing I hated was having to press L1 to move the camera around at times, although that’s a problem in the other games too when you’re confronted with monsters and you cannot see them coming. The main character was really ill-equipped which is why I liked her. She’s not macho or anything, but she is strong and considerate. She’s just in this nightmare and she wants to go home while finding some answers along the way. Unlike the second game, it’s a proper sequel to the original (and best) Silent Hill game. It’s kind of sad that something terrible happens to her father and after Claudia gets killed, you show no sympathy for her at all. Anyway, I’d like to see Heather in another game because the series needs a boost after its disappointing fourth entry. I doubt they would re-use characters from previous games again, but don’t you think new characters are confusing?
I prefer Silent Hill 2 to the rest of them. I really got into that one.
I agree with Steve. SH2 was awesome.
Silent Hill 2 was awesome. Not to say 1 and 3 were bad, I just found the amount of puzzles and twisted story you could uncover in 2 to be amazing. 4 on the other hand is difficult for me because I am not a fan of the heavy action… that and now that I live in an apparement I can’t bring myself to play the game.
New characters aren’t confusing, they add new depth to a plot alot of the times… you just have to become familier with the new ones.
Personally, I find James to be a much more symathetic character than Heather.
:kissy:
Man. If I remembered my dreams, like, ever, I probably would have had so many nightmares
SH4 was a great game. I just hated those damn ghosts!
James was a horrible person.
That’s why he was awesome.
You are not alone, my brother.
