They didn’t have horrible modern day adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays for one.
The guy who wrote San Guo would’ve just been willed out of existance. Man, a guy ate his own eye in that book. Best classical literature ever.

Aw man, the adaptations may be bad, but the explanations they have for some of the words are hillarious.

Husbandry apparently means economising. This makes me laugh every time I read it.
Because clearly, you economise in the dark.
