Selan = homewrecker

In their defense, Daos destroying the world would have been a bit worse for the kid than growing up alone with his grandma <_< And at least HIS son (Or Grandson) wasn’t emotionally unstable or anything.

Maxim, Guy, and Artea could’ve taken the Sinistrals. They didn’t NEED Selan. And Tia was just as strong as Selan, they could’ve taken her along!

Like what the detective guy said, and the fact that ~love~ and a stable home is more important than wandering around on airships.

Tia was a shopkeeper, Selan was a trained military commander. No, Tia wasn’t as strong as her. Besides, do you think that it was such a clear choice? How could she be sure Maxim, Dekar and Guy (because they hadn’t even met Artea) could defeat four Gods? Wouldn’t it make more sense to throw everything you’ve got in a desperate battle against an enemy you most likely won’t defeat, if it’s for even the slightest chance of your son surviving, than just “letting the guys take care of it by themselves”?

Tia so was as strong as Selan! Atleast in my game she was. D:

If I read what you’re saying correctly, dvd, you’re saying that one of the few REALLY strong female characters (not in level, but practically according to the plot. Aka, one of the precious few anti-damsel-in-distress) should have given up all the training she’d spent to become a skilled soldier and leader, and instead stay home, bake pies and take care of the kids? Uhuh. It’s in times like this that I feel like becoming a femi-nazi.

Stay strong. 'Cause Femme-nazis are about just as idiotic than the statement that raised your ire.

On the topic, if they din’t go to beat down on the Sinistrals, the world would, y’know, be kinda desolate and dominated by 'em. That’s called ‘fighting for the future’.

Selan should’ve been barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, not out doing a MAN’s job.

Tell me this guy is joking.

I certainly hope he is.

If by he you mean she, and if that she is referring to me, then yes I am joking!

Good. Because if you werent joking, I’m afraid this could have turned really ugly for the rest to witness.

In either cases, back on topic, folks.

Sorry about the confusion about gender, dvd; as I failed to percieve your joke I made to highly biased conclusions.

That said, it may have been selfish, but for all Maxim and Selan knew they and their friends were the only people who stood a chance against the Sinistrials, and they may have percieved that Guy and Dekar wouldn’t have been able to do the job on their own.

It’s okay, I’ve been confused about my gender a few times, too. :frowning: But anyway, the point is Tia could take Selan AND save the world. AND the most important thing is SHE HAD DIBS! >O Selan is a CHEATER!

I think the real issue here is why he didn’t just keep both. I mean, have you seen the official Maxim/Selan bedroom art? Imagine that with Tia in there. Hot.

I didn’t know there was official bedroom art.

If my guide that I got with the game wasn’t horribly destroyed from years of use, and I had some sort of scanner, I’d show it. Basically, it’s Maxim and Selan in a bedroom in full clothing getting ready for some reproduction.

Actually,

I wish my bedroom looked like that. :frowning:

And without Maxim.

Now that’s the spirit.
