:fungah:
Ya know, you may be the secret service and all, but when it gets right down to me and my rights, suck my dick. I’ll say what I want to say, about who I want, when I want to say it, and that includes Mr. President.
Let me reiterate on that being the absolute dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The TEACHER called the secret service. Why? She figured that kids in oakland, all the way on the complete opposite side of the country as the nations capital, were a threat to the life of our president?
Remember Kids: Big brother’s watching you. =P
That is just disturbing…
I sincerely hope that the teacher get’s sacked and/or put under the same type of shit those guys were put through.
I tell ya, at times like these, this makes me want to listen to my Agent Metal songs, a bit of anarchy mixed with Metal-addicted Agents with the license to kill and fuck 24/7. Thankfully, I have my CD’s over here at JSU with me right now…
But this story is sick. VERY sick…
… nah uh.:fungah: :noway:
If anything, that violates freedom of speech. People are entitled to their opinions. That teacher’s judgment was both shocking and very poor.
Haven’t they heard of the First and Fith Amendments?
The secret service has the power to restrict the President’s activity if it endangers his (or her, sometime in the future) life, it doesn’t go much further than that.
1)- Religious and Political freedom- freedom of speech, religion, and press.
5)- A person cannot be chraged for the same crime twice, cannot be a witness against oneself.
heh, We talked about it in History.
Things just keep going downhill… I REALLY wish I could say I’m surprised by this… but its an almost every day occurance at this point.
And if Patriot Act 2 was out, those kids could have lost their American Nationality for it.
Oh my fucking god… :noway: the “we own you” part in particular was shocking. If that happened to me, it’d be immediate emigration time :runaway: :runaway:
Under the “Patriot Act,” which was passed shortly after Sept. 11, this is perfectly legitimate and the students have absolutely no rights. Utterly disgusting, needless to say.
I woulda responded, “I 0wnz j00!”
The Patriot Act itself goes against the Constitution, again the First Amendment forbids something like it
First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise therof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the press; or the right to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
One could argue that, put in this posistion, that our constituion is the end all be all as far as our rights go. Our constitution provides us with a bill of rights, cited as being “inalienable rights”, which as far as I know, means they can never been alienated for any reason at all. As such, the patriot act becomes useless.
until the military shows up at your door, and “detains” you indefinitely without trial or lawyer, or even charges. (like hundreds of americans have been for over a year now)

Well why doesn’t somebody do something about it? Since the “Patriot Act” is an illegal law, it should not exist in the first place. So why doesn’t anybody go to the courts with it?
More and more this nation reminds me of Animal Farm.
