Say hello to your new master

What was that from. I know I’ve heard it before, but I can’t remember where.

8-Bit Theater. :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn, she has a friend on the inside.
And Dude, what Pierson said.

Thank’s Pierson.

Congrats, Val. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be busy hiring the ninja assassins.

Oh great…

You gave power over to this forum to my worst enemy.

Well, congrats Val, even though your said term is going to be hopefully short-lived

Maybe those images of tastefully naked (cat)girls are now possible to post, now that SHE’s a mod!? >_>;

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well, I don’t know, mabat. maybe you should send me those pictures in PMs, just so I can tell. And then send me some not-so-tastefully naked (cast)girls, just to compare the two.

And you know, people, as much as I love having people scream in agony over the thought of me in an actual positioin of power, it DOESN’T quite help your standing when you insult the new boss. Just a little food for thought. evil grin

Weiila no more mod? :too bad:

I just hope this does’t mean we’re losing Weiila’s company in a more permanent way… :too bad:

Hardly. You’ll have to bend this place out of my cold, dead fingers before you get rid of me
… that didn’t sound quite right. Oh well.

Congrats, V. Unlike most of the naysayers here, I know you well enough to know you’ll be doing a more than competent job as a Mod.

Congrads Val… take care while Weiila is unable to…

Good luck Weiila! evil grin

It’s pretty simple. Look over the fics presented in the boards. If they suck, say why they suck. If not, copy/pase to a Word document or something an set up any HTML takes (usually bold or italics) that needs to be set up. Stick it into the template, make .shtml file out of it, and save it, along with a summary of the fic. Send it to whoever’s responsible for updating.

If you’re responsible… Once you have a decent number of fics, you get to build the index files, and search through every page of which the story would apply and update those pages as well. At least two or three a fic. Finish with a few choice and pithy comments about your life and fanfictioning (or make them uplifting and inspiration, I don’t care). Release to the public, then spend the next day or two correcting everything you’ve missed and/or fucked up.

Or you should be able to add it yourself with little issue once the Archive revamp is finished.

Bzzt! Absolutely not Word. Download AbiWord (it’s free) and use its “Save as Xhtml” function. This will create quite clean html code from the stories, which a few find/replace’s will clean up. If you use Word for this, you get files three to four times the size of what AbiWord and common sense coding creates.
First Page works too, but then you’ll lose all the underlines and italics, and that’s irritating.
Plus, if I wrote this in AbiWord and then converted it, there would be paragraph breaks. It works wonders

Wil: Thanks, we love you too. Get a sense of humor, man.
