Rusty, the narcoleptic dachsund. I’m sure a few of you have already seen this, but it was on the news today, and I figured that anyone who hadn’t seen it yet needs to.
A narcoleptic and a dachsund, the dogs at the park must make fun of poor Rusty a lot…
After centuries of inbreeding, many breeds of dogs (if not all) develop some sort of genetic defect. In the case of Daschunds, it’s narcolepsy; it’s not really all that uncommon.
During the unit on states of consciousness, my psych class was shown a film on narcolepsy which included a clip of a daschund. I’m not sure if this is the same one (seeing as it looks like a documentary on sleep disorders, possibly), but a lot of us were having a hard time not to giggle too loud. 
It’s just so cute when he falls over like that. XD
